The Kansas City Region had a private showing of the recently released “Ford v Ferrari” blockbuster movie at the B&B Theater at 135th and Antioch on November 17th. The Club had reserved the entire 174-seat ScreenX 270 degree Panoramic Theater for the showing.

Prior to the event KCR held a car show from 3:00-6:30pm featuring many cars similar to those seen in the movie. Two continuation Shelby Cobras, one 427 Cobra, and one 289 FIA Cobra were there, as well as a Superformance GT40. Club members were kind enough to bring two Spec Racer Fords SRF3 cars, plus a great selection of RallyCross and Autocross cars. In all over 40 vehicles showed up for the car show.

The attendance was an overwhelming success with in excess of 155 Kansas City Region members and guests attending. The car show attracted all age groups and a couple of the little guys looked right at home behind the wheel of the 427 Cobra.

If you liked the movie and would like to see a couple movies that were more of a documentary without the Hollywood flair check out the trailer for “Shelby American” and the trailer for “The 24 Hour War”, both available now on Netflix, or order them from Chassy media at www.chassy.com .

Thanks to club members Lisa Kern, Jessica Dorn, and Jim King (who works for B&B Theaters) for organizing this fantastic event.
