KC Region & SCCA involvement:
I have been part of the SCCA ever since I was a baby. My dad was part of the Road Racing Club and was on the board for many years. I followed in my father’s steps by being a part of the Kansas City region board and being part of the Road Racing Club. I have won the division for the past 2 years in Formula Continental.
- Checkpoint Editor 2019-present
- Board Treasurer 2018-present
- Board Secretary 2015-2016
- Silent Auction Coordinator: Halloweenie & Awards Banquet 2015-present
- Helping build modified toy cars for Go Baby Go and seeing the cars being presented to the children and their families.
- 2nd place trophy in STFL at 2015 Solo Nationals – I was driving a 2008 Mini Cooper, and it was a constant battle as myself and the 3rd place driver kept improving and edging the other out of the trophies with each run. I had the biggest smile when I pulled into grid after our final runs and found out I got 2nd!
- 2nd place trophy in FMOD at 2017 Solo Nationals – Driving the DoofWagon and being a part of TEAM DOOF was amazing, but this 2nd place trophy wasn’t nearly as exciting as the first one.
- 2014 KCR Most Improved Solo Driver. Thanks Mark Hill!

KC Region member since: 2010
KC Region involvement:
I have been a board member since 2023.
Personal:
I have been a SCCA member since 2010 and have participated in all the SCCA programs. I have done autocross off and on since 2010 and graduated to road racing in Spec Miata. I have been to Solo Nationals, the Runoffs, several rallycross, and a couple Track Night in America events, so I have seen how various regions are ran. After experiencing other regions, I want to grow these programs with more active support from the KC region as some of them have stagnated. I truly believe that more people equals more fun! I have been in many classes, where I have been the only entrant and the only reason I kept showing up is, my love of the sport. We have great and friendly members, and with proper direction that I can bring, I know we could be one of the best regions in the SCCA.

KC Region member since: 2020
KC Region involvement:
I joined SCCA 2020 doing autocross.
Personal:
Before that I supported my son in misc. racing, drifting and car hobbies as pit crew and trailer hauling. Before that my racing was confined to high school street racing in the mid 1970’s.
I am now retired and exploring better car build, Kswap on a 1985 MR2 AW11 for autocross and track racing. Last year I did win STS class, mostly due to me showing up to more events than other folks, now I am XB class and working on improving my abilities.
I do have a current goal of beating my son in at least one autocross solo event.
