Heartland Motorsports Park: Topeka, KS

As the site of the 2017 SCCA RallyCross Central National Challenge and the 2017 DirtFish SCCA RallyCross National Championship, Heartland Motorsports Park, already has a strong RallyCross pedigree after just two years of operation under new ownership. The Kansas City and Kansas Regions co-host the “Party in the Park” event during which nearly all types of motoring fun that the SCCA offers is on tap, and that includes RallyCross.

DIRECTIONS
Take I-70 west from Kansas City
I-70 becomes the Kansas Turnpike (toll road) after K-7
Remain on the Kansas Turnpike as it becomes I-470 in Topeka
Take Exit 177 and turn south (right) onto SW Topeka Blvd.
Turn east (left) at SE Gary Ormsby Dr. You’ll see the Heartland Motorsports Park sign on the southeastern corner of the intersection.
Look for Lot 2 on the east (left) side of the road after the bend.

I-35 Speedway

I-35 Speedway:
Winston, MO

We are happy to welcome the I-35 Speedway to our 2018 RallyCross schedule. Located northeast of Kansas City in Winston, MO, the I-35 Speedway is conveniently located for members in the northern portion of our region, and for our northern regional neighbors such as the Nebraska, Des Moines Valley, and Iowa Regions.

Take I-35 north out of Kansas City.
Exit at the MO-6 exit and turn east (right).

Lucas Oil Speedway

Lucas Oil Speedway:
Wheatland, MO

After an inaugural event in 2017, the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO is the home for our 2018 MiDiv RallyCross Challenge. Lucas Oil Speedway offers 20+ acres of flat parking lot land giving course designers a lot of space and latitude to create innovative, flowing, and fun courses.

DIRECTIONS
From Kansas City, take I-49 south to Harrisonville,
Take Exit 159 and turn east (right) onto MO-7,
Continue on MO-7 to Clinton, MO where MO-7 merges with MO-13 and MO-52,
Leaving Clinton, remain heading south on MO-13/MO-52,
At Deepwater, MO, remain heading south on MO-13,
At Vista, MO, turn east (left) onto Hwy-T,
Hwy-T terminates at MO-83. Turn south (right) onto MO-83,
MO-83 merges with US-54. Remain on MO-83/US-54 until you arrive in Wheatland

Thunder Valley Sand Drags: Grain Valley, MO

In 2014, we began holding our summer RallyCross events at the Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO. Thunder Valley has two clay 1/8-mi drag strips with 1700 feet of run-off area and a large grass parking lot that provides a total of 4.1 acres of competition area in addition to 3.0 acres to use as paddock and grid. For larger events, there is an additional 3.0 acre gravel parking lot and a picnic pavilion.

Thunder Valley Sand Drags is located on the east side of Grain Valley, MO and numerous eateries, lodging, gas stations, and auto parts stores are within a mile of the facility. Grain Valley is located just a few miles from Blue Springs and Independence, so there is ample lodging for those wishing to stay in town before or after an event. Check out the Grain Valley Chamber of Commerce website for full details on food and lodging.

DIRECTIONS
Take exit 24 (Grain Valley) on I-70. Go South approximately 2 miles to Old US 40 Highway. Turn east (left) on Old US 40 Hwy (next to Casey’s General Store). Go approximately 3/4 mile to track entrance located on the left hand side.
