Call to Order
The Kansas City Region SCCA General Meeting was called to order by RE Paula Diehl at 7:34 PM at Johnny’s Tavern.

There were 24 members attending.

No new guests

Secretary’s Report– Greg Cheney
Charlie made a motion to approve the minutes;  Dick seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer’s Report- Jessica Dorn

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Paula Diehl
672 members for the Region.


SOLO REPORT: Al Hermans
Event #6 was held on July 28. There were 149 drivers in attendance. Results are posted on the region website. 

The Starting Line School was held the day before and 22 students showed up. About half the students came to event #6.

Registration is open for Event #7 on August 18. We have 23 entries so far.

Street Survival is August 17. If anyone is interested in helping out, let me or Paula know.

Solo Nationals starts 4 weeks from today. We have 51 region members entered at this time.

KVRG REPORT: Chris Kern
Working on expenses for the Ozark event.
Pending date July 11-12, 2025 at Ozarks.

Garnett Grand Prix Revival is coming up October 12-13. Chris is running the course workers and would like a lot of volunteers.

2 Time Trials are coming up. Hastings and I-29 (MAM/RPM).

Runoffs are coming up.


RALLY CROSS REPORT: Niles Davis
Last event was July 14 At I-35 Speedway. 34 attendees. 

Next Event is Event 2 rescheduled for 8/11 at Thunder Valley.

Then 8/25 at Thunder Valley.

OLD BUSINESS
ByLaws will go before going to general membership soon. It will be sent to the general membership and give them 30 days to review before a club vote. Tim Friest will set up voting online.

Paula recommended Article 7 Sec 1 requiring a change to the minimum age to run for office to 18 years old. Josh motioned, Max seconded.

Date of Gimmick Rally September 28. Jessica will add it to MSR. It’s $25/car.

NEW BUSINESS
Elections are coming up. Nominating committee consists of Al Hermans, Bill Baumann and Alex Von Bevern.

Al sent information about National SCCA grants being available. Deadline is the end of August. Discussed putting on a student training program.
