SOLO REPORT: Al Hermans

Event #7 was held on August 18. There were 128 drivers in attendance. Results are posted on the region website.

The Street Survival school was held the day before and 15 students showed up. We had 8 coaches and a number of volunteers as well. Big thanks to Lori Gill and Doug Gill for coming in at the last minute to teach the classroom portion of the school (Lori) and sweep the skid pad (Doug).

Registration is open for Event #8 on September 22. We have 23 entries so far.

Solo Nationals is next week. Good luck to everyone that will be attending.

We have a request to replace the tires on the van and trailer. A quote has been obtained from Discount Tire (one of our drivers works there) which was shared last week, IIRC, attached to an email from James Young. He has asked for BOD approval (this expense was not on the budget submitted at the beginning of the season) to use some of the equipment money from the no work option offered at most of the autocross events to pay for the tires (they are around 8 years old and in questionable shape). There have been a few reply emails signaling approval but if the BOD could vote on it tonight, we can arrange for the tires to be replaced soon if the measure passes.

The purchase of tires was approved by board members and the tires have been installed.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Paula Diehl – 672 members for the Region.

KVRG REPORT: Chris Kern
Bill discussed KVRG. The 3 Kansas Region members of the KVRG board are Chris Kern, Ed Nicholson and Bob Henson. Josh Huff, Chris Kern and Bob Henson were appointed by RE Paula Diehl for the 2025 season.

Chris noted there are tracks coming available and a discussion is needed to view and further that interest.

Garnett Grand Prix Revival is coming up October 12-13. Chris is running the course workers and would like a lot of volunteers.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: Max Bear
Max discussed last weekend’s event. 37 attended. The most participants this year.

He is still working on the new computer compatibility with Live Timing.

One attendee reported a medical issue. Mark McCoubrie sent the incident report to the board.

The next event is Ray Rocks on September 15.

WEBSITE REPORT: Ed Nicholson
No web report.
