The Kansas City Region SCCA Board Meeting was called to order by RE Paula Diehl at 7:02 PM at Conroy’s Public House.

Board Members Attending: Paula Diehl, Greg Cheney, Jessica Dorn, Bill Johnson, Max Bear, Phil Meredith, Daniel Rowland, Chris Kern, Al Hermans, Josh Huff.

Board Members not attendance: Josh Holsworth

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Greg Cheney
Bill made a motion to approve the minutes; Chris seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

CD came due last week. Curr rate 5.05%. Greg motioned to do the 6 month 5.05%. Phil seconded. Motion passed.

Josh made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report; Bill seconded. Motion passed unanimously.


SOLO REPORT: Al Hermans
Events #4 & #5 (MiDiv) were held on June 29 & 30. There were 126 drivers on Saturday and 137 drivers on Sunday. The number of drivers who came both days was 98.

Event #6 was held on July 28. There were approximately 160 drivers in attendance. The Starting Line school was held the day before and 22 students showed up. About half the students came to event #6. A cable was broken in the timing system and is going to get fixed.

Registration is open for Event #7 on August 18. 16 entries so far.

Street Survival is August 17. If anyone is interested in helping out, let me or Paula know.

The Lincoln MiDiv is this coming weekend (August 3 & 4).

One of the participants this past weekend works at Discount Tire. He said that he can try to work out a deal on a new set of tires for both the van and the trailer. We are waiting on a price. The trailer tires (except the spare) have build dates in 2016. The van tires are not much newer.


MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Paula Diehl – 672 members for the Region.


KVRG REPORT: Chris Kern
Working on expenses for the Ozark event.

Pending date in July 2025 at Ozarks.

Garnett Grand Prix Revival is coming up October 12-13. Chris is running the course workers and would like a lot of volunteers.


RALLYCROSS REPORT: Max Bear
Last event was July 14 At I-35 Speedway. 34 attendees. 

Next Event is Event 2 rescheduled for 8/11.

Then 8/25 at Grain Valley.

OLD BUSINESS
ByLaws will go before going to general membership soon. It will be to the general membership and give them 30 days to review before a club vote. Tim Friest will set up voting online.

Paula recommended Art 7 Sec 1 Requiring a change to the minimum age to run for office to 18 years old. Josh motioned, Max seconded.

Date of Gimmick Rally September 28. Jessica will add it to MSR.

NEW BUSINESS
Al sent information about National SCCA grants being available. Deadline is the end of August. Discussed putting on a student training program.
