I am so proud of the Kansas City Region SCCA for the tremendous job done by all of the programs this summer.
The autocross program is flying high with over 120 entries in every event so far. Hats off to the SAC Committee for keeping the program fresh and inviting for both seasoned veterans and rookies. The Novice Program is top of its class.
The Street Survival School is scheduled for August 17th with Event #7 the following day.
The Rally Cross program is continuing to grow. The RAC committee is finding new places to compete. The fact that the Rally competitors are gaining in their ability speaks to the successful program that committee is offering to its competitors.
The KVRG program is busy making plans for the coming year. We thank all of those program members for their tireless dedication to it’s success.
The total membership of the Kansas City Region is at the highest ever: 672!Way to go.
We have two programs also giving back to the Kansas City community by holding charity benefit events. Again, we have so much to be proud of.
We are also continuing to collect pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House. We have currently donated over 16,000 so far this year. Bring your tabs to the General Membership meetings or drop in the collection buckets at the events. Our donations buy chemo therapy for children with cancer. A very easy way to make a huge difference.
A special note: There will be a sanctioned gimmick rally on Saturday, September 28. Cost is $28 per car. We will stop at two wineries with a final stop at a brewery. So load your friends and come join your SCCA friends for a great social event.
Hope to see you at one of the super events that are coming up. Be safe!
