A super year of racing can only be closed with a fall season of great opportunities. As I write this, the Autocross competitors are in Lincoln, Nebraska for the Nationals. This is billed as the largest amateur racing event in the world. It is a week of fast paced competition and over the top chances to “talk shop” with racers from all over the country. National event winners and National event trophy winners will all be crowned. If you missed this year, don’t miss next year!
The Rally Cross Nationals are also this fall. Again fantastic opportunities to meet and visit with fellow racers from all over the country. Locally the Rally Cross program also has several events left this fall. Come check it out. They also have a new novice program. So don’t be shy, come to an event and learn how to play in the dirt.
If you enjoy Road Racing, the annual Lake Garnett Race will take place October 12 through 14th. This is typically a beautiful setting with lots of truly unique cars to see. KC Region will be hosting a picnic on October 13th. Come join us at Lake Garnett in Kansas.
Locally, Autocross has several events left. The final event of their year is always special: it is the annual “Halloweenie”. This year it will be on October 28th. The club will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Bring a side dish and a silent auction item as a portion of this event’s proceeds will go to our charity “Go Baby Go”.
Road Rally enthusiasts take note: our fall rally is on November 10th. Grab a partner and come challenge yourself.
These events are open to sign up on Motorsports Reg.com. Don’t let this beautiful season pass you by without taking advantage of the many racing opportunities both locally and Nationally.
Safe travels and Happy Trails.
