SOLO REPORT (Al Hermans, Solo Chair):
Event #10 was held on 10-13-19. 98 people came out.
Event #11 was held on 10-27-19. 134 people came out.

Not counting the MiDiv, we had a total of 947 entries over 9 events which is 105 people per event.

The season is done, and we will debrief next week at the SAC meeting.  There is room for improvement, and we will be addressing that in the off season.

There will need to be some repairs done to the trailer over the winter. Chief among them is addressing the door to the front half. There will be a request for funds when the evaluation is complete, and a repair strategy is in place.

Street Survival is Saturday at HPT.  They still need coaches.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern, KVRG Board Member):
We are still working on the calendar year 2020 schedule. Flyers were taken to the Runoffs. The last TNiA was 10-17-19 with a turnout of 90 cars. Mike McGinley will reach out to Mr. Falstaff who is managing Time Trials and promote the safety of the track rather than competition driving.  This may assist with any insurance liabilities.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (David Williams, Rallycross Chair):Committee Items

  • 10/29 – Event #3 and Event #7 were successfully held on Oct 19th and 20th. There were 20 drivers that attended Event #3 and 31 drivers that attended Event #7. The morning of Event #3 it started raining around 4am but due to the lack of rain earlier in the week we opted to press on and still hold the event since unlike I-35 we knew the track wouldn’t turn out to be a complete mess. It was a little muddy but everyone who braved the rain and muddy conditions had a good time and the course times progressively improved as the course dried out and everyone managed to get 11 runs. Event #7 started off with heavy fog and visibility down to less than a ¼ mile. Undeterred we setup the course and just as we were about to send the first heat cars the fog lifted and we had a fantastic day of racing. Everyone again managed to get 11 runs on course. Howard Duncan from SCCA Headquarters was in attendance and even though his Miata was giving him issues that existed prior to our event he still mentioned how much fun he had before retiring before the lunch break.

Schedule

  • November 2 – Event #1 @ I-35 Speedway
  • November 3 – Event #8 @ I-35 Speedway
  • November 24 – Event #9 @ Santa Fe Trail Cycle Park (KS/KC Joint Event)

SPECIAL COMMITTEES:
Web Report (Mike McGinley):
