Finally! The smell of race gas first thing in the morning. Got to love it! The race season is here! And all of the KCR SCCA programs are in full operation. Be sure to check out the calendar for all of the events.
The Race group is planning a huge race at Ozarks International Speedway on June 1 and 2.
Autocross has a novice school on May 18th followed by an event on the 19th.
For those ladies interested, your class will be taught be lady instructors with special classroom just for the ladies. We would love to get more ladies involved in racing.
Autocross Event # 3 is on June 9th. Events 4 and 5, June 29 and 30 will also be a MiDiv event. There will be a Starting Line School on July 27th.
Rally Cross April 14th has been rescheduled for 1-35 speedway. April 28th is the Event #2 at Thunder Valley and Event #3 on June 22nd and 23 at Ray Rocks Offroad Resort. That facility’s name just sounds like fun.
Please know that all are always invited to attend the monthly meetings, held the first Tuesday of each month at Johnny’s Tavern 6766 West 119th St, Overland Park, Kansas at 7:30 pm. It’s a great way to meet old friends and meet new ones who all share the love of racing.
Program note: in June we will be having our family picnic at the Kill Creek Park. We meet there for club furnished hamburgers and hot dogs instead of Johnny’s Tavern. Hope you can bring the kids and dogs for lots of fun and fellowship.

Please continue to keep the pull tabs off of your beverages. Once donated to Ronald McDonald House, they are used to purchase chemo-therapy for children who have cancer. Last year we donated over 32,000 tabs which purchased over 500 hours of chemo therapy.
