February 25 2025-KC Region Board Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

The Kansas City Region SCCA Board Meeting was called to order by RE Al Hermans at 7:03
PM at Conroy’s Public House.


Board Members Attending: Greg Cheney, Paula Diehl, Dan Rowland, Josh Huff, Jessica Dorn,
Max Bear, Al Hermans, Robert Henson III, and Andrew Von Bevern


Board Members not present: Chris Kern, Phil Meredith, Josh Holsworth.


Guests included: Jon Robertson RAC Chair, Ed Nicholson, Jeremy Selenius and Andy Schultz.

Secretary’s Report– Greg Cheney

There are no January Board meeting minutes as the Secretary was out of town.

Solo Report– Al Hermans

The 2025 solo season schedule has been finalized and announced to the membership. The
website calendar has been updated to show the event dates. The contracts have been signed
with MCC and sanctions will be applied for soon. First event registration will open around March
1.


Event fees for 2025 will be $16.50, up from $16.00 in 2024.


A trailer cleanout day is being discussed and should happen sometime in March.


A proposed budget for 2025 is ready. It is based on total attendance of 1350 entries which is
less than the 1400+ entries from 2024, just in case there is a mild downturn in participation.


The 2025 regional supplemental rules have been revised to address event run order but are
otherwise the same as 2024.

MiDiv Schedule has been released.

Old Business

Bylaws update. Per Paula we need to change the format of the presentation and do individual
articles for the club to vote on.


Robert motioned Solo and Rallycross chairs get $750 charge card, and $500 for others. Andrew VB seconded. Motion passed.

New Business

Ed is stepping aside as Banquet Chair. A new chair is needed.


Status of van replacement fund. Has there been a disbursement from the 2024 solo
profits or did emergency repairs eat that up?


Jon Robertson said his company will get the parts at cost to repair the van and the
Votipkas will do the labor in exchange for the salvaged parts. Andrew VB moved to
accept and Josh Huff seconded. Approved.


The HotSpot needs to increase to the $35 per month plan. Josh moved to accept the
proposal and Andrew VB seconded. Approved.


Max thinks getting a new HotSpot and upgrading to 10gb would be good. He will
investigate it.
