For those interested in course design, the national office is developing a licensing requirement
to do course designs for sanctioned events. Similar to SSS licensing, you will need to take an
online course and apply for the license. Details are still being worked out as is the online course.
I am assuming that the name of the course designer will be required as part of the sanction process. I am also assuming that a licensed course designer can take a layout from a non-licensed member and approve it under their license.

For those interested in becoming SSS’s or those seeking to renew or reinstate their licenses, go
to the national website and find the sign up for the online course that is required to start the
process. If you take the course before the first weekend in April, you will be ready to start
shadowing when the season starts. As a reminder, when signing up for events where you want to work as a SSS, be sure to select that as your work assignment on MSR and/or send a message to the registrar so that the chief of workers can make the proper assignment.
