SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)

The national tour and pro solo schedules have been released. In addition to Spring & Fall Nationals in Lincoln, the Midwest Division will host a Pro Solo on April 6 & 7 at Frederick Field in Frederick, OK and a CAM/XS Challenge in St. Louis on May 4 & 5 at Family Arena.

We will begin laying out the regional schedule soon. There is a tentative date of July 27 for Starting Line School.

Because of the tie in voting in the recent elections, the SAC decided to go with six members for the next two years, returning to five starting in 2026. An email vote was taken among the BOD to approve the action.

It appears the solo program made money in 2023 according to the budget information provided by Jessica. We have yet to recommend a donation to Go Baby Go but I think $1000.00 is approximately what we saved in sanction fees for Halloweenie. I think we can also afford to put some money aside for van replacement when that time comes.

When it comes to equipment upgrades, there are a few things to consider. We may need to invest in some new cones as we are getting close to having the minimum amount available to layout courses. The big timing display has finally become unrepairable. We would like to look at a replacement along with covers that will keep rain out of the electronics. Cost of a new board is approximately $1250.00 for a 10” display from Farmtek. Pricing from RaceAmerica was not available. The rest of the timing equipment appears to be in good shape after the upgrades made in 2023. The trailer may need re-wiring for the timing display and speaker outlets.

Program event fees are out for 2024 and look to be the same as this year.

Bill, we are trying to get an event by Adrian and want to coordinate with solo so no conflicts.

KVRG REPORT: (Bill)

We have dates for Ozark June 1 and 2 we have sent an email blast to that effect. Will be following up with more emails later.

Mike, can we add the list of hotels and motels for lake of the Ozarks to later mailings. Ed will look into this for the next blast.

Last date for the sale or equipment used at the track is the 27th of December for Heartland Park. They do have pilons listed if we are interested.

Mike, Majors are Ozark, and 2 at Hallett one being the Super Tour event in April.

Bill, we are having an issue with a date conflict between Ozark and Pueblo. This is being worked out with national.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nils)

Event of last weekend did not occur so only 5 events for this year. Looking at a new site that drains better and should provide a better venue with the rain.

There is some discussion about a site in Odessa.

Paula asked if the advisory committee would hold meetings other than right after events. Max indicated that this was something they would be working on for next year.

WEBSITE REPORT: (Ed Nicholson)

Website has been updated for the 2024 board and committee members. The home page now indicates the next event is the awards banquet.

Will need to get the 2024 schedules and the save the date for the banquet up on the website.

BANQUET: (Ed Nicholson)

Have reached out to Justin Walker for our Emcee again this year and he has accepted.

We can have white tablecloths and red napkins if that is what you prefer? Or, they can could do black tablecloths and red and white napkins. Board decided for white and red.

The banquet bar will have premium bottled options including Boulevard available and typically there is a rotating premium beer on tap but no guarantee on selection.

We still have the American Themed Dinner Station for $26.95 / person. I am including the menu as well if you want to review.

Josh made the motion and Mike second, to increase to $35. Motion passed.

We will be bringing our own cake again this year and they will provide plastic plates and forks if needed.

I just spoke with Jessica and we are all caught up for food deposits, I’ll just need a final head count and any additional room set up needs about 10 days prior to the event. Let me know if you have any questions!

We will be sending out 2 mail invitations for the only two who requested and registered that way. We may move ahead with sending them out. Jessica will be opening registration on MSR.

Look for the list of awards and who has them.

Phil and Al are working on the solo awards.

Andy Schultz is willing to do photos for us again this year.

MIDIV CONVENTION
Will be at the Hotel Topeka City Center Feb 24 and 25 and they are looking for topics for the breakout sessions at the convention.

Could have good support from National for solos and other disciplines but road race has a super tour event that weekend and so they will be busy with that event and not be at the convention.
