SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)

Registration for the MiDiv (Events 2 & 3) being held on April 29 & 30 closes at Midnight on April 26.  There are currently 265 entries shown in MSR (entries are listed separately for each day) which is well over 100 per day. Registration and tech are on Friday starting at 5:00 PM or on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. According to event chair Brad Smith, Sunday’s course will blow our minds.

Our next local event is the novice school and event #4 on June 17 & 18.

The budget developed for 2023 did not contain a provision for financial assistance to a first time Solo Nationals participant. In years past, we have offered $500.00 to a deserving individual and the SAC would like to do so again with the permission of the BOD.

At last month’s SAC meeting Mark McCoubrie made a presentation and request to host a T&T / fun runs as part of the UA charity event on July 22. After discussion within the group, we do not have the staff to do this as many of our chiefs and SAC members are unable to attend. It has been suggested that if Mark can find someone to bring the equipment out and staff the event, we can loan the equipment to him for that use.  I assume we would need BOD approval for that. There was discussion about getting an SCCA sanction for the event to be able to have the insurance that provides. If that is done, event fees will be charged after the audit unless it is designated as a charity event. Since Halloweenie is our designated charity solo event, it would have to fall under another program (rallyX?).

Board decided that it needed to see the solo budget and then will look at approving the $500 for national solo. Will reach out to Al Hermans.

Motion to approve use of SCCA equipment for UA, not approved by the board on a unanimous vote.

There are 9 entrees already signed up for street survival school in August, Paula. The event is off to a great start with the date being this that far in the future.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)

Events for Heartland and Ozark should be open.

Party is planned for Saturday at Heartland. We will be needing help for course workers.

Ready to go for the Ozarks, per Bob. Will have advertising form the national TT taking place with our majors weekend at the Ozarks, hopefully this will generate interest for the whole event.

Bill, there will be an enduro held at Hastings Motorsport Park along with the Mid Div TT event.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nils – Greg reporting in Niles absence.)

Last event was rained out with the Saturday downpour and has been rescheduled for May 7th..

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Web was being updated lost the current officers and the RX schedule. Will send updated officers for 2023 to Rachel tomorrow. Seems to be an issue with the link for RX archives. These are being addressed.

OLD BUSINESS

Van repairs, discussion on repair. We need to have someone who drives the truck available for the discussion so will discuss at GM next week.

NEW BUSINESS

We are looking for a volunteer, National has left over items from our partners including a TT entry at the Ozarks. If there is a young driver on the fence due to car prep and entry money this will be a great opportunity. Phil will ask around at the SAC meeting. Will expand to Kansas Region for a candidate.

EVENT DATES
Next solo – April 29 & 30 MCC.
Rally X – May 7 and May 21 I-35 Speedway.
Road racing – Heartland Park May 20-21 2023
Track Night in America Heartland Park – April 27 and May 18.
Time Trials – Heartland Park May 2023

Call for motion to adjourn
Josh made a motion to adjourn and Chris second motion passed. Meeting ended at 8:26.
