SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
The 2021 solo season is in the books.

We held our last two solo events, #’s 9 and 10, since the last general meeting. We had 81 entries on October 23 and 70 entries on October 24. I think the weather forecast resulted in fewer entries on Sunday which actually turned out to be much nicer than anticipated. Heat 1 had a damp but drying track and heat 2 had a mostly dry track going into run #5 when it started to drizzle. Despite the lunch break, which was shortened in anticipation of rain, and replacing the starter motor of the van, we were off the site by 3:00.

I would say that 2021 was a success overall, considering the late start. Total entry count was 766, down about 20% from 2019 which had 9 events. Our largest event attracted 104 drivers.

As of a few weeks ago, the JDP or Jr. Kart program has been cancelled for SCCA solo. No specific reasons were given but it is assumed that getting insurance for the program would be a problem.

It is time to start planning for 2022. Other clubs are using MCC so we need to get our dates reserved early.

Paula will get winners from Holloweenie and pics to Mike.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
Reported a current membership of 565. 12 new and 1 returning member.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)
Working on sups for the May event.

Will do a Crash Fire Rescue this year, Ozark  would love to host one for us. Would be good for the Solo group to attend as well.

  • April 2/3 – World Wide Technology St Louis Majors/Time Trail
  • April 23/24 – Hallett Motorsports Park Oklahoma Super Tour
  • March 20/21 – Heartland Park Raceway Topeka Majors/Time Trail
  • June 4/5 – Ozark International Raceway Majors/Time Trials
  • July 23/24 – World Wide Technology St Louis Regional with a tentative time trail and possible vintage race

Hastings and RPM will host Time Trails, working on dates.

Mike discussed challenges of Ozark. At the scheduled May event at Heartland Park there are talking about having National Champion drivers to give instruction for new drivers in a tech session. Details to follow.

Mike had some of the attending runoffs drivers discuss their experience at that event.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nile Davis)
With there being no event this last month there is not a ton to report. We have our points event on November 7th and added a novice school and test and tune on November the 6th in conjunction with Unnaturally Aspirated’s event on the same day.

Our last points event will be on December 5th. All of these events will be at TVSD. Hope to see some of you out there to support the program and Reuben’s charity!

Greg, test and tune will include a $5 ride along as well for those who interested in seeing what RX is about.
