Membership:
Tara Young reported our Monthly Membership = 536.  Noah Tayler was a guest for the General Meeting.

Solo Report (Al Hermans):
2019 Schedule is set and confirmed with MCC.  We have 11 events and Street Survival.  Annual meeting is set for March 9, 2019 from 10a-4p.  It will include annual technical and cleaning out trailer.  We have one minor rule change with our tire class.  This will be a pain for registration involving dropdown boxes.  The midiv convention is this weekend.

KVRG Report (Chris Kern):
Dates are set for cy2019.  We finish HMP contract tomorrow.  We are also contracting for cy2020 dates and anticipate those dates to be very close to cy2019’s dates.  With regards to the Sprint Bracket Series, we are still looking at a different series that is between time trials and road racing.  You must have a current IT roll cage in your car to quality as well as meet all the safety requirements.  This is not for street cars.  We will discuss more at the Midiv convention.

Crash, Fire & Rescue (CFR) will be Friday of the May event at HMP.  We’re going to have a test day and CFR combined.  More information coming soon, but May 17, 2019 is the tentative date.  Chris Kern is talking with Lake Garnett about the Oct 13, 2019 date.  This is the last day of the runoffs and a solo event as well.

Rally Cross Report (David Williams – absent):
Doug Patterson will be Rallyx dates on the KCR website and Lisa Kern will enter on the calendar.

Special Committee Reports:

  • Awards Banquet – Thank you for all your assistance.  The event went well.
  • Mid div Convention – Feb. 8-10, 2019 at the same location as 2018.  Registration closes 2-6-19.  Still looking for silent auction items.  The Solo Town Hall will be mid-morning.  Two projectors are needed.  We need runners for the Silent Auction on Saturday night.

Old Business:  None

New Business:
Grant (Mike McGinley provided his summary) – The Track Night in America Grant applications are due February 15th and can be for up to $3,000. Can each one of you come up with 1 suggestion and a budget amount to implement that suggestion and we can discuss it at this weekend’s convention. I can make the application if everyone would like me to.   I have included the “Inside Line” newsletter that spells it out. We can use this money for “Training, equipment upgrades, marketing, or offsetting costs of pilot events”. I would like to use some for the flyers again once our website is complete, and for costs of a electronic newsletter/contact system “Constant Contact” that some of the other Regions are using to communicate with their members. I would also like to use it to help launch our Sprint Bracket Road Racing Series that I can explain in detail this weekend. I know we also talked about new timing equipment for Rally Cross? If everyone can provide estimates and implementation timelines I’m glad to put it into a proposal for the FREE money.  If you have any suggestions, please contact Mike or Todd.

Ken Ragan made motion to adjourn, Doug Patterson seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

Adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
