Solo Report– Al Hermans

Planning has started for 2025. We will have a 10-event season as before. There are no plans to host a MiDiv at this time. We will also have a novice school, a Starting Line School, and a Street Survival School at roughly the same times of the year as before.

A grant proposal has been submitted to the SCCA Foundation to develop a Street Survival school geared towards adults. If the grant is received, we are looking at some time in the late summer or early fall to put it on. In addition to the physical exercises, the curriculum will likely focus more on bad driving habits and distracted driving than the teen program.

I need to recruit a volunteer to either take over local management of the Street Survival school or, at the very least, help out with some of the planning and day of event tasks.

The national schedule has been released with some of the dates being tentative until contracts are signed. In addition to Spring and Fall Nationals, we have a tour date in Frederick, OK on April 26 & 27 and a CAM / XS Challenge in St. Charles, MO on May 3 & 4 in the Division.

The MiDiv solo schedule is also being developed. We are waiting on interested host regions to respond to the invitation email.

For the MiDiv convention, does anyone have any ideas for a topic of discussion/presentation beyond the usual town hall subjects?
