The novice school was held the day before.  30 people came out for the school, but the event was shut down part way through due to a miscommunication about whether we were covered by the sanction. 110 people came out for Event #5. School participants will be issued refunds. We were sanctioned for the school but the wrong paper copy was provided to the chair by me.

Out of 3 events from national tour, ours was considered the best/low key event. We rescheduled our rained-out events. Next event is Aug 25 at I-35 speedway.

Web Report (Mike McGinley):
We have a lot of updates and nearly all of those have been done/corrected including calendar/events. We continue to ask for checkpoint monthly newsletter articles. Need photos of events. Send to Mike.

Social Committee (Lisa Kern):
Discussion on price, location and dates were discussed briefly for the 2019 Annual Awards Banquet. We are looking at February 8, 2020 and prices may go up to $30 per person from the $25 per person we have had for the last several years.

Old Business:

  • Elections for December 2019. If you would like to run for a position on the board, let Chris Kern know. We are asking for a couple more volunteers for the Nomination Committee.
  • Mid-Div Convention is Jan. 31 – Feb. 2, 2020.

New Business:

  • Reuben Samuels talked about his foundation to help transplant patients. He thanked all who donated. We have donated to us a 2004 Sentra Spec V. We are building it into a rally cross car and taking it to St Louis. Our plan is to race it and raffle it off.
  • Reuben also talked about our club’s First Aid Kit. Several items are outdated/expired. He would like for us to have an AED Defibrillator on board. We also need 1 to 2 CPR trained club members.
  • September General Meeting – Due to upcoming Solo Nationals, there will be no General Meeting in September. Our next meeting is October 1, 2019.

Donna Cross made motion to adjourn, David Williams seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
