MiDiv TT Series 2022
Season Championship @ Raceway Park of the Midlands Round 5 & HPDE Event
From Event Chairman Adam Pessetto:
Thank you to all the drivers and workers who signed up for the MiDiv TT Series 2022  event at Raceway Park of the Midlands Round 5event. If you haven’t signed up, now is the time to do so on this as we are 17 days away from event start. Registration closes Friday 10/14/2022 at midnight and a link can be found here: Raceway Park of the Midlands Round 5

If you know of anyone that may be interested in this event, please forward this to them. This event also has a HPDE (High Performance Driving Experience)  which is a chance to drive your car on a racetrack in a safe and controlled environment away from the risks present on the street. We will also have coaching sessions available for these sessions, which is great way to get friends, Spouses, Significant others, or even your kids to come out and learn how to drive safely on the track. There is no transponder required for this , so come out and experience a great Midwest track.

This is what everyone has been asking for, a 1 day event on Saturday! Camping is allowed Friday and Saturday night, so if you want to show up the night before and/or leave Sunday morning, no problem.  Gates will open at 6pm Friday and  Registration will be open Friday 6pm-9pm and Saturday 7:15am-Noon. Tech will be open Friday 7pm-9pm. Tech will be available Saturday morning from 7am-8:30am, Tech will be open after 9am as well, but please be aware that most of the individuals leading the event are also racers, so please be considerate of their time as you may be delayed in tech as they may be out racing.

Please be aware that you can only enter the track Friday after 6pm. They will lock the gate after 10pm, but if you plan to get in later than 10pm, please call 913-200-0722 when you arrive and i can open the gate for you.

This is season championship event and a double points event! We will also be having our awards ceremony Saturday evening after the end of the event along with dinner.

Meals – We will be having lunch and Dinner for everyone on Saturday along with the drinks and adult beverages (after racing is over), but I recommend you bring your on specials drinks if you so desire. We will have a grill and griddle on site to help cook lunch (and breakfast as well for those who want to use it)

Look for a white truck with a white Racing trailer and the Dare to Dream Green Honda Fit. This is where we will be holding  the driver’s meeting on Sat morning, and all other meetings will take place. It’s a good idea to paddock somewhere near us to keep in touch with the TT event chairman during the event, as sometimes things change on the fly due to weather or wrecks. (but of course weather will be perfect this weekend). Please take a look at the picture above as this will be the first time for our series at this venue

There will be a mandatory driver’s meeting on Sat morning at 8:35 AM (we’ll be calling names) at the TT paddock. We’ll go over the basic TT rules and etiquette, what’s expected of drivers and what’s expected of event staff. It’s important you attend this meeting, since some aspects and scheduling of the event may change overnight. If you dont attend this meeting, you will not be allowed on track without talking with the event lead first.

Please lease take a minute to review the Schedule and Supps about the track along with the TT ruleset, including driver eligibility and required equipment/clothing. This includes transponders. If you own your own, just make sure it’s charged and ready. If you rented one, it will be handed to you during your tech inspection. Link to the schedule can be found here along with other supplement information:

From the MiDiv TT Chairman (James Cahill)-
We had a lot of issues with car classing and safety that I would like to avoid for Brainerd his weekend. To do that I need drivers help to make sure they have the following items ready for tech inspection.
1. Dyno sheet or Proof of SAE Horsepower
2. Print out of classing calculator completed for your car
3. Completed Tech sheet including scale weight
4. Safety gear including Helmet, gloves and head/neck restraint if you are using.

We will be also enforcing convertible and open cockpit vehicles per our rule set in regards to Rule 7.2 Convertibles requiring roll bar and Rule 7.4 open cockpit / convertible vehicles requiring arm restraints

Scales will be available during tech. Print and bring these 3 printouts plus the safety gear to Tech (link below). If you plan to arrive any time Saturday, Appointments can be made by emailing apessetto@gmail.com. Please be aware that our tech staff is also drivers, so please be considerate of their time.

Our Classing and Tech staff are racers also so please be respectful of their time on Saturday/Sunday and do your work up front.

Most questions will be answered either here or at the driver’s meeting. If you feel you’ve got something that needs to be handled before any of that, just let me know. I will be on site Friday around 4pm-ish. If you need to, you can call/text me and I will get back to you. My number is 913-200-0722. Don’t hesitate to reach out, I want to make sure everyone has a great event!
