  1. Loaner Helmets are still not in. They have been paid for – a total of $1,125.00 for 2 small, 5 medium, 6 large, and 2 X-large helmets.
  2. Van title has been received, registration paperwork has been filled out, and I will register it once it has passed the Missouri vehicle inspection. Both vehicles are insured and since my understanding is that both may be driven if an event falls on the same date, I will register to get a new plate for the new vehicle. Once you know where the vehicle will be stored, please let me know so that I can update the insurance information.
  3. The majority of people who responded to the polls are in favor of meeting for either an indoor go-kart race or social/gimmick rally. The poll did not ask people how they felt about indoor membership meetings, but the majority who replied were in favor of meeting socially. It is unknown if some of these are duplicates from one month to the next as about half of the people did not have their name associated with the poll.

The January Checkpoint Poll showed 71.9% in favor of attending an indoor go-kart race, 80% in favor of attending a social/gimmick rally. The breakdown of which months they wanted to attend are below:

The February Checkpoint Poll showed 84.2% in favor of attending an indoor go-kart race 89.5% in favor of attending a social/gimmick rally. The breakdown of which months they wanted to attend are below:

Mike: Any interest in race group getting together? Bill and Chris, still no interest for the race group to get together at this point.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
Negotiations continue with MCC. As relayed several weeks ago, our contact at MCC was willing to write a contract for use of the PDC. Progress has been slowed by the involvement of the risk management department and the changing landscape of Covid restrictions in Independence and Jackson County. We have provided links to the latest health orders which appear to indicate that recreational and sporting facilities may operate at up to 50% capacity without special permission as long as PPE protocols are followed.  We are waiting for a decision by MCC at this time.

The latest from Arrowhead is that the Sports Commission is not opposed to us running there as long as “the money is right.” We have yet to hear what that amount is.

We still have no local season to plan for until we have a site.

We have not applied to be a test program for JDP since we are uncertain of the viability of the season.

Divisionally, the first event is April 24 & 25 and registration is open.

Nationally, the entire Pro-Solo season has been cancelled pending a review of the program and the timing software.

Mike, Al are we doing any cosponsored events with Kansas? No, because of limited events at the Heartland site.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
Mike. Working with Norma to get the longevity pin and get out the Norma Williams trophy. Membership report was sent out down by 4 members.

Mike: Would like to get all the trophies moving next week, engraved and then how to get to events. Will reach out to Mark Hill and David Williams.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern):
Currently still working through SCCA process. Online not meant for groups like KVRG. Having issue with the new online forms.

Hallett coming up with good numbers ours for May should come up after Hallett.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (Dan Colburn, Reuben Samuels):
RAC will be having a meeting tomorrow, March 31st. First two events were cancelled due to rainouts, even the event last weekend cancelled for standing water. Event 1 and 3 cancelled, 3 waiting for re-schedule. Event 3 for the 11th.

Riverside, approval on a per event basis. Surprise that we could not get approval for a full year as they liked how we treated the site during events in 2020. We had been proposing 6 events. Even with cancellations we did do site testing and got valuable information as to how the site reacts to inclement weather.

Will get all events upon in Motorsportsreg for the season by the end of the week.

Dan, asking for a change in the chair position for the RAC, will occur tomorrow at the RAC meeting.

New water pump and full clean up and measurements for modification to outfit the box. Ready to go, waiting for new vinyl. Need to find a location for storage for the new vehicle, house not been stored as it should.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
All current on the web except for RX updates.

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Tomorrow at the RAC meeting it will be determined who will take the Van to get it inspected. Greg and Rueben will work together to get the quote for the wrap for the van ad trailer.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Discussion on where to store the van and trailer, where and could be up to $195. When we discuss consider cost of to and from site. We should do checking on sites and prince.
  2. Not yet.
  3. Do we want to attempt a Street Survival this year? SCCA seem to be doing them again. Al allowed that we would need a site but still working on that for solo events. Tim, could we ask the Speedway or Arrowhead to if interested? Mike is going to investigate further.
  4. Are we interested in the board getting together, not yet will look forward to May.
  5. Al has been asked to give a report on the Garman Catalyst for next month.

Lisa made a motion to adjourn, Tim seconded. Motion passed.

Meeting adjourned at 8:26PM
