Mike, Dan Rueben do you know about reconditioning the new van? Rueben, Dan is out and the van is being worked on at this point. All we know so far is a new battery. Title is in the mail. Working to be sure it will pass inspection.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
There has been little additional communication with MCC since last month.  There has been no progress in determining if the site will be available and when.  Apparently, there are a few classes that are being held face to face, but most classes and administration are still being done remotely.  Kansas City, Platte County, and Clay County have relaxed Covid Restrictions within the past week.  No update on whether Jackson County or Independence are planning similar moves and what effect, if any, that will have on the availability of the site.

Jeremy has heard back from Arrowhead and we are no go for the time being.  We will keep trying.

As it sits now, we have no local season planned.  If we can find a site, we will move as quickly as we can to utilize it.  We can partner with KS Region on some events but it would likely be just for points.  Sharing expenses may be problematic as they have an abbreviated season due to lack of available dates.

Tim, is anyone talking to Ft Leavenworth? Paula, at this point we do not know.

Mike, Paula please talk to Al and SAC about junior driver.

SCCA wants to restart the Junior Driver Program with 10-15 Pilot programs throughout the country. Solo group please watch the section from SCCA in the 2021 SCCA National Convention archive. Mike has talked to James Cahill and the Kansas Region plans to apply as a pilot and the KC Region Junior Drivers could participate in the program too if they are selected. Selections should be made in March?

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
End of February: 535 Members

Please comment on longevity awards. All the letters have been sent out today. 5, 10, 15 will receive in the mail others have been asked about in person or by mail. Should be able to shorten list by March 11th.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern):
Heartland Park schedule to be finalized in the next few days. Moving along and we need to have a track inspection. Registration should be up this weekend.

Mike, Hallett opened last weekend, TNiA should be up shortly.

New Ozark track is working on structures at this point.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (Dan Colburn):
Vehicle has been purchased and that is the focus at this point, along with getting the trailer ready as well and hope to get this going in the next month. RX to go in the truck.

Last event did not go off as site was underwater. Looking at the next event but that site could be bad as well.

Working on the Riverside site for the future events.

Tim, is there anything else we could do vis a vie for Solo? Rueben and Dan have been investigating.

Mike, is Stonegate an option? Rueben indicates that they are still checking.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Mike McGinley web hits up 18% from the prior month. Can we link more from our social media accounts to increase traffic. Like linking to our event results?

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Traveling trophies: Mike has picked up 3, does anyone else have any?
  2. Award questions: Is RallyCross handling the “RallyCrosser of the Year” trophy? Rueben indicates there is a rally crosser of the year and thought Dan was working on it.
  3. Is there a “Mary Kay Ash Award” winner for 2020? I assume it is a Solo award? Janet Bauman won last year. April Turner has won for 2020, will this be picked up? Paula will work on getting the trophy picked up.

NEW BUSINESS:
Lisa has sent an email about meeting. The Bar will allow groups up to 25 people and could work for the board getting together. Most Board members were not yet comfortable with face-to-face meetings. Most felt General Meetings were important and the Board discussed various outside options, like at a park. The decision was made to table the discussion for another 60 days and see the status of vaccination and facilities opening up.
