Bill, mention Mike’s new Corvette C06 C8 with C07 package. He optioned it as he wanted thanks to passed dealer ship. Also did a Corvette driving school in a C06 with C07 package on the track in Nevada. This was a very good deal and a great driving school, got to learn to drive the C08 at the limit without putting my new car at risk.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
Paula Diehl was out. Bill, we have 625 members.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)

Event #6 was held on August 20. There were only 83 drivers with times due to several leaving because of delays and the oppressive heat. We had a major oil down (transmission fluid) about halfway through the 4th runs of heat 1 which required all the oil dry we could find on short notice. We bought a pallet and used all of it. While the fluid was being cleaned up, we received permission to re-configure the course to avoid most of the spill to allow heats 2 and 3 to run.

Street Survival and event #7 were held on August 26 & 27. There were 14 students for Street Survival and everything went well. There were 119 drivers at event #7. We had 4 heats and 5 runs per driver with few stoppages of note.

Registration is open for events 8 on MSR which is scheduled for September 24. There are 23 entries as of earlier today.

The Pro Solo Finale, CAM Challenge, and Solo Nationals begin on Saturday and continue to next week Friday. Of the 1300 entries for Solo Nationals, 39 are from the KC Region.

The truck will need some repairs. It has been determined that the radiator has a pinhole leak and will need to be replaced. The front tires are looking pretty sketchy and should be replaced.

Requesting funds $1000 to replace the front tires, horn and the radiator. Mike makes the motion to repair the van Ed second. Motion passes.

There are a number of the members attending the National Solo. 100 percenters from our region Charlie Clark and Dick Berger.

Tara, will be doing KCR pod cast for the Solo National and we can follow along, look on the KCRSCCA Facebook for link.
