MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
We have 615 members!

KC world of wheels, are we interested in doing that event? Cost is $50 dollars per car. We could rent a space. March 10 thru 12. Paula will look further into the cost.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
Event #6 was held on August 21. There were 110 participants. Event results are posted on the region website.

Street Survival was held on August 27.  Following the scheduling debacle, we had a few cancellations but 19 students took the course. There were 6 in-car coaches, 5 staff for registration, setup, and help out on course, and one classroom instructor. It appears that the students were all pleased with the day as were the instructors.

National championships for Pro Solo and Solo start on September 3 and wrap up September 9. 1,136 are registered as of this morning and online registration closed yesterday.

Our next local events are September 17 & 18 and registration is open on MSR.

Does Labor Day seem to impact numbers, Al been this way and does not.

Schedule will be good for the rest of the year.

Do we have a van issue, seems to be with the water temperature.

Mid Div October second weekend in Salina Kansas and Salina region co host.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nils, not present but was read by Ed)

Last Event (Sunday the 28th):

Due to too much rain accumulating on the site from 4:30am-7:30am we had to cancel the event to avoid severe damage to the site. As a result there is not much to report this month.

Van issues:

On August 6th the RAC took the van up to Holt Missouri to do some timing system testing and paint some cones green. While the testing went well, the van began to overheat again on the way up to Holt and coolant was spraying everywhere. It was towed back to Burnett Automotive and it was determined that the same part (the heater control valve) had broken in the same way (the plastic rupturing on the side of the valve). This was replaced under warranty at no cost to the club other than the tow. Van so far has seemed to perform fine, although it does tend to run hot when having to tow distance.

Upcoming events:

UA Charity Test n’ Tune – Sunday, September 11th @ Thunder Valley Sand Drags

(All profits will be donated to Reuben Samuel’s charity Unnaturally Aspirated. There will be food vendors and ride alongs offered on site.)

Event #7 – Saturday, October 22nd @ Thunder Valley Sand Drags

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern and Mike McGinley)
Will have a Heartland date right now we do not know when it will be.  But KVRG has some decisions to make.

KVRG for next year – Bob Henson and who will the other person be?

Track night had 90 cars and there were a good number of workers present for the event. Track Night in America – Chris not here – event had a good number of volunteers

There are over 220 licensed drivers in the division. Bill will be checking with Rocky on actual numbers.

Race group starting – 3rd Tuesday of each month at The Bar. First meeting good turn out and good discussions.

KVRG, first Monday of the month but not always.
