SECRETARY’S REPORT: (Ed Nicholson)
Our May 5th General and May 26th Board Meeting minutes are posted on our website and direct people there to review. He also indicated two corrections which had not made it to the minutes before they were posted. Motion to approve Tara, second Bill and passed unanimously.  

TREASURER’S REPORT: Ed provided report for Jessica any questions should be directed to her.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Herman)
Al had mailed his notes to me prior to the meeting, Ed read them as he was having issues with his microphone. 

May 30 & 31 – Street Survival (Postponed) and Event #5 – Cancelled on May 19. 

June 21 – Event #6 – Still waiting on MCC.  Hope to hear one way or the other soon. 

Event #5 was on until we were notified by MCC on May 19 that the college had decided to suspend all activities on its campus’s through the end of May.  Activities in June are being evaluated and we should hear back about event #6 sometime soon.  When our next event takes place, we will abide by the latest directives from the national office regarding PPE and event procedures. 

Divisional Schedule: 

  • May 16 & 17 (Topeka, KS) – Cancelled / Postponed to October 3 & 4 
  • June 6 & 7 (Salina, KS) – Still On – Registration is Open Now 
  • June 20 & 21 (Neosho, MO) – Cancelled / Postponed to October 17 & 18 
  • July 11 & 12 (St. Louis, MO) – Re-Scheduled to July 18 & 19 
  • August 8 & 9 (Lincoln, NE) – Looking good at this time 

National Schedule: 

  • Spring Nationals (Lincoln, NE) – Postponed until August 19 – 23 
  • Next event not yet cancelled – Prosolo – Peru, IN – June 13 & 14 

We have partnered with KS Region on renting a 20’ x 30’ tent for Solo Nationals. The tent is scheduled to be located at the west end of Row 8 in the paddock. A maximum of 40 people can be accommodated in a group for the tent. Not sure how that translates to those who will be there for two days only.

576 members; up 14 members for this month. 

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)  
Bill Johnson provided a prospective on the St. Louis Super Tour event May 30 and 31. It was a good event and STR always does a good job. We had a lot of people from over the country. Had some cars wreck and break, per usual. Ed was 3rd GTL Saturday and 2nd Sunday. Roy Lopshire, Steve Johnson and others were there to represent KCR. STL folks had masks all the time, most of the others were wearing masks were appropriate and there were marks for distancing everywhere. Area director Chris Albin and Dad both had the virus and are recovering for over a month and still not 100%. This virus is no joke. 

Mike, mentioned an error in Checkpoint,  June TNiA date is a GO for June 18th

Chris’s report: 
TNiA On for the June 18th date. We will be needing workers so contact Chris Kern if you are available. 

Went to see how NASA was handling procedures. There were people being soft on protocol. Track had hand sanitizers around. Event was more the track night events.  

Our July 17-19 Majors Race and MiDiv TT Series event is currently a go. Registration is live on Motorsportsreg.com  

RALLY CROSS REPORT: Dan Colburn/Reuben were out; Ryan provided the following update:
24 event was a great event. Got setup working and the event went smooth with many participants. Most had masks and hand sanitizer was provided.  

Mike, Rueben video on PPE was great. STR did a great job will sending emails to update participants. 

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Updates to be made tomorrow, minutes will be available. All schedules for all race groups are up to date. Results have been posted for RallyCross and the 2 Majors/Super Tour races. In May we had 16,758 unique visitors. Rallycross and Solo pages were the  most visited. 

SOCIAL EVENTS: (Lisa Kern)
Until June 11 bars can have up to 45 people, so race group and BoD could meet at The Bar. July, Tuesday July 7th we might be ok to meet.  

Tim asked if we could do Granite City for the June race group meeting? Lisa to work with the race group. 

Henry asked about meeting on the patio outside maybe Local Tap? Cannot use this venue as it is now closed. 

James – discussion about the van estimate and solution. Board will work on this and propose. 

Mike to touch base with Solo and Rally X. 

Tara motion to adjourn, Bill seconded and passed unanimously.
