July 12-14, 2019
Heartland Motorsports Park • Topeka, KS

On behalf of the Kaw Valley Race Group (KVRG) and the Midwest Division we would like to invite you to the Heartland Summer Trackfest U.S.Majors Tour, MiDiv Time Trails Series, and Sprint Bracket Road Race Series (SBRR) at Heartland Motorsports Park Topeka July 12-14.

This is the 6th round of the Mid-States U.S. Majors Tour, the 3rd round of the MiDiv Time Trails Series and the first Sprint Bracket Road Race event. We would love to see you come race with us as battles for the Conference Championships are still up for grabs.

The Heartland Summer Trackfest is a 3-day event featuring a test day from 9am-2pm Friday, SCCA’s Track Night in America from 4-8pm, and the 2nd U.S. Majors Tour and MiDiv Time Trials event PLUS Sprint Bracket Road Racing Saturday and Sunday.

Our Sprint Bracket Road Race Series is a great place for cars that run in other race organization series, i.e. WRL, NASA, BMW and Porsche Clubs, etc., that don’t fit a particular SCCA class, or retired race cars that are no longer in sync with current rule sets. Find out more about Sprint Bracket Road Racing.

Click the link below for the full schedule and supplemental regulations and to see who else is coming.

If you can’t race or crew, we love to have your help for the Heartland Summer Majors Trackfest. New or experienced workers-all specialties, everyone is welcome! Did you know current SCCA members are automatically eligible to register as workers? You have to be at least 16 years of age (with a parental waiver) to work a hot track area (needed for those under 18). Nonmembers will be covered under a temporary membership (provided by the KVRG).

As always, KVRG will provide great hospitality including a dinner party on Saturday for all participants (drivers, crew members, workers, and officials) This will include a great selection of adult beverages!

The Heartland Motorsports park facilities include plenty of camping space,( including electrical hookups), plus there are warm showers in the tech shed in the paddock.

The Heartland Summer Majors Trackfest is another great opportunity to catch up and have fun with your SCCA friends, old and new. We look forward to seeing you there!

Registration now open!

Hi, I’m looking to run the time trials this weekend and have a question about Friday, the test day. It looks like all the cars are grouped into open or closed wheel cars so if I’m in TT, I would be on track with other closed wheel cars that are racing in all categories? Is passing open?
    Thanks

      Pat,
The test day requires a full competition license or a novice permit and passing is open on the entire track. Our Race Chairman said that you could register for the test day and he could add a Time Trials group (perhaps some of your buddies might want to join you), to do so you would need a valid Time Trials license. Another option if you are looking for more track time is to register for the Track Night in America event that is running Friday the 12th as well. Here is the registration link; https://www.tracknightinamerica.com/events/1993769-track-night-2019-topeka-july-12 . Hopefully this helps. See you this weekend!
