New cones have been ordered and should arrive soon.

Our next events are June 18 & 19. 54 entries are listed so far.

Street Survival has been confirmed for August 20. Spread the word. Volunteers (instructors and course workers) are welcome. Instructors may need to do an online training session if they have not already done so. Registration is available on the national website.

In divisional action, the next MiDiv event is this weekend (June 11 & 12) in Neosho, MO. Two weeks later (June 25 & 26) we will be in Muskogee, OK.

Registration for solo nationals opens on July 6. Tier 1 (2021 national champions, event chiefs, and 100 percenters) opens on June 22. No movement on the extra timing equipment to Kansas region.

RALLY CROSS REPORT: (Nils, not in attendance)
As we once again had to cancel our last event due to rain, we managed to get a reschedule date for event 2 (which we are calling event 2.1) scheduled for June 12th at I-35 raceway in Winston. Two weeks later, on the 26th that we will have our event #3 at thunder valley sand drags. Doing this successfully accomplished making a Rallycross and Autocross sandwich. 3 weeks of racing in a row!

Are doing staff volunteer shirts so new racers can identify who to ask questions.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)
Both events went well, we do not have final numbers as yet.

Race at Heartland Park was a good time for all and we had a nice of turnout. Weather was good.

Ozark, great reminder of what it is like to come to a new facility. We had great support from worker community as plenty of workers turned out. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. Track is very fast and we have to see but are hopeful about returning next year.

Bill, we have several here who were there and excited about the track, can you give us your input.

Jeremy, love the track once facilities are improved will be great.

Jessica, working on registration and who was where in the garage. Linda Henson was great teaching how to run registration for track events, it’s a little different than solo. Facility was good and not lacking for any needs in the registration building. Waiting to see how they build out spectator areas, indication was that it would be similar to like Road America. Tilly’s Tacos, who provided food for the workers and the Saturday evening gathering at the track, was a good caterer.

Al, was a learning process and had to hold back a little while learning the track. Best lap late afternoon Saturday. Found flow fairly quick, would go back.

Chris, we had 20 Time Trial entries.

Charlie, Did to much walking around. Track has a lot going for it. Weather was great, had a garage and a nice spot for the motor home.

Guy, was fun but very hard work. Was a nice track to drive but will see about racing on it.

Ed, track had great flow and after the first session was less intermediating then I expected. Very fast and demands you every ounce of attention. Hope this is one we can come back to year after year.

Bill, great track surface could be abrasive and hard on tires, club may have lost money on this event and we need to see about the future. Car count was disappointing. Track may have a bad wrap as to amount of danger. Track owner thought that insurance a plus for our club.

WEBSITE REPORT: (Mike McGinley, reported by Bill)
Paula taking over for Mike to manage work for the Website contractor and site content. Will be working with Mike to transition.

OLD BUSINESS:
Put in about Lone Star region and tabs for Paula. Before getting these tabs we had paid for 200 hours of chemo therapy. Jessica brought tabs from RA.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Nils, Rally Cross would like to paint the top some of the cones lime green, this would help drivers recognize course changes. Al, would this be ok with the SAC. Al to follow up with Solo group.
  2. Bill. is 7:30 a good time for the GM. Solo meeting before from 6:30 to 7:30 so seems like a fit. Let’s think about how we can to get our numbers up for the meeting.
  3. Greg, will be checking with Pathlight Brewery 75th and Nieman to see if they would to host our board meeting and general meeting.

Dates:
Next solo – June 18 / 19 at MCC
Rally X – Sunday at I-35 and June 26 at Grain Valley
Road racing – done for the year
Track Night in America June 16
Street survival on August 20

Call for motion to adjourn
Dick made a motion to adjourn and Chris second motion passed.  Meeting ended at 8:20.
