CALL TO ORDER
The Kansas City Region SCCA General Meeting was called to order by RE Bill Johnson at The Bar on August 2, 2022 at 7:35 pm.

Members present: Bill Johnson, Jeremy Salenius, Justin Valasquez, Ed Nicholson, Chris Kern, Greg Cheney, Dick Berger, Guy Whatney, Jeremy Scotton, Charlie Clark, Paula Diehl, Lisa Kern, James Young, Al Hermans, Jessica Dorn, Bob Hensen, Henry Rompage, Janet Bauman, Bill Bauman, Jonathan Griffith, April Turner, and first time to a general meeting Jan Robertson.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: (Ed Nicholson) 
Bob made a motion to approve the minutes; Chris seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Dick made a motion to approve the treasurers report; Greg seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

We have added Clarissa Votipka to those using the KCRSCCA credit card for event related expenses.

Membership Report: (Paula Diehl)
We have 608 members! 

Bill mentioned that the August general meeting in 1974 had the largest amount of new members present at the meeting than we have ever seen. With Charlie Clark, Dick Berger, Tony Giordano and others joining that evening. Charlie said they had all come to join so they could be part of the first Solo Nationals that year. Charlie and Dick are part of the 100 percenters, those who have been to every Solo National since their inception.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
Starting Line school and Event #5 were held on July 16 & 17. Starting Line had 24 entries and event #5 had 103 entries. Event #5 results are posted on the region website.

Street Survival is coming up on August 20. Spread the word. 

Events #7 & #8 are scheduled for September 17 & 18. Registration should be open in a few weeks.

We will be sharing a tent with KS Region at Nationals. Greg Reno is the tent wrangler and will be reaching out to region members to see if they want to paddock with the group.

Solo Nationals has 1057 entries as of today. Cutoff is about 1,250 this year.

Bill who ran the event on the 18th. There was discussion about the event, including Greg was 2nd by .3 sec in class. Charlie, was 2nd in his class.

MCC will be staring work on facility mid September.

RALLY CROSS REPORT: (Nils)

Numbers from last event:
Our total number of drivers from the last event was 32 with 2 weekend memberships.

Our gross income for the event was $1,435.00 and our total profit after expenses was $837.30.

Dick, this event was so much fun in the Corvair. Stuff comes at you and you learn new skills even after 48 years of autocross. Highly recommend doing these events.

ROAD RALLY REPORT:  

Upcoming events:
Lisa, Jeremy we have a beer rally coming up this weekend. Just show up at 2 PM Stockyards Brewing 16th and Genessee. Entry fee is $10 per car so bring as many friends as you like. There will be prizes at the end so please stay for social, food, drink and of course prizes. Note, you are on your own for the food and drink.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)
Racing over for the year and we lost about $3,500 on Heartland and the Ozark race for the year.

Bill, Race group meetings starting back up this month will reach out for best day to have the meeting. We need to infuse road racing and come up with new ideas.

Chris Kern next Track Night August 18. Need 2 KVRG members for next year

Time trials in Hastings for a couple of weeks. There will also be an event at RPM.

Lake Garnett revival will be coming up soon.
