May 26, 2026 – KC Region Board Meeting Minutes

Call to Order

The Kansas City Region SCCA Board Meeting was called to order by RE Al Hermans at 7:06 PM at Conroys.

Board Members Attending: Greg Cheney,  Robert Henson III, Andrew von Bevern, Bill Bauman, Dan Rowland

Board Members not present- Phil Meredith, Josh Holsworth, Henry Kraujalis.

Secretary’s Report– Greg Cheney

Solo Report– Jeff Bartz

Next local event is May 16 & 17 – Starting Line and event #4. 18 at Starting Line. 161 participated on Sunday solo.

After these events, there will be a 3-month local break while MCC is unavailable.

35 KCR members attended the Spring Nationals. 3 members were class winners.

2026 Road Race Schedule:

April 24-26-Hallett Motor Racing Circuit Super Tour-Hallett, OK. went well. 140 cars competed.

May 22-24-Pueblo Motorsports Park MidStates Majors-Pueblo, CO

July 3-5-High Plains Raceway MidStates Majors-Deer Trail, CO

July 10-12-Ozarks International Raceway-Gravois Mills, MO

Aug 21-23-High Plains Raceway MidStates Majors-Deer Trail, CO

Sept 28-Oct 4-63rd Annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs-Elkhart Lake, WI

Rally Cross Report– Jon Robertson

Rallycross at Holsworth Farms was rescheduled to May 3. It was a 2 day event with KSR event in Carbondale on Sunday. 40 entries were at Holsworth Farms.

The May 22 rallycross event at Thunder Valley was cancelled due to mud.

The next event is June 28 at I-35 Speedway.

New Business

The webmaster sent an email today that she has decided to take some time away from website admin work. She noted she has loved working with KCRSCCA and has appreciated our support and communication as the webmaster.

She is able to continue working with KCRSCCA for the next two months, through the end of July, to give the board time to find a new web admin and so they can be trained. them.

Old Business

The truck and trailer are having electrical problems with the lights and brakes not working. The board approved a $2000 pre-approval to fix the brake and other things needed on the truck and trailer.
