MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
Paula Diehl, not present. Bill: We have 625 members!

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
The Starting Line School and Event #5 were held on July 16 & 17.  Starting Line had 24 entries and event #5 had 103 entries. Two local instructors were recruited to help the nationally contracted instructors.  Event results are posted on the region website. There was one safety incident about a possible knee injury of a driver during Starting Line.

Street Survival is proceeding on August 20. Spread the word. Volunteers (instructors and course workers) are welcome. Instructors may need to do an online training session if they have not already done so. Registration is available on the national website https://www.scca.com/events/2001218-kansas-city-region-tire-rack-street-survival-metropolitan-community-college. Also on MSR https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/scca-national-starting-line-metropolitan-community-college-driver-school-659924. Event #6 will follow on Sunday. Registration for event #6 is open on MSR. 26 have signed up so far.

A commitment is needed for the Nationals tent. I recommend $400.00 be allocated to helping to pay for it. 1,007 people have signed up for Nationals as of this afternoon. Ed respond to A that this is approved.

Greg: We lost Anthony Toledono. There will be a memorial at Quivera and Shawnee Mission Parkway Sunday, July 31st at 2:30pm.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nils, not present but was read by Ed)

Numbers from last event:
Our total number of drivers from the last event was 32 with 2 weekend memberships.
Our gross income for the event was $1,435.00 and our total profit after expenses was $837.30.

Weekend overview:
Thankfully, the weather finally cooperated with us and we were able to have an event. The site was bone dry, which we were excited about at first but presented other problems later on. No large safety concerns This ended up being very close to a perfect event. Minimal timing issues. 11 total runs and no mechanical issues with any of our drivers! Our feedback from the event was very positive, from the course design, to generally the way things were run. This event was a great manifestation of all the hard work the RAC has put in this year into event planning and how to run an event that people enjoy being at.

Van issues:
Of course, the weekend didn’t end without any hiccups. On the way back from I-35, the heater control valve on the van failed, spilling much of its coolant out onto the highway. We were able to have the van towed to Burnett Automotive, where they were able to diagnose and fix the issue within the week and had the van back to the Solo program for their weekend events. We also had one of our Rallycrossers, Wes Votipka, volunteer to rescue the trailer and bring it back to the storage facility. Once again, our rallycross volunteers are just so awesome!

Upcoming events:
Event #5 – August 28th @ Thunder Valley Sand Drags
Pre nationals Test n’ Tune – September 11th @ Thunder Valley Sand Drags

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern and Mike McGinley)
Mike: for year end we are down for the year. Balance is about $50,000. Bill is working on the outstanding checks, will follow up with Mike.

Track  night for July was cancelled per request of the track. Temps on track were 110 to 130 so national office agreed. Did have 2 workers and a few drivers to show for the event. Reset to August.

Need to discuss reenergizing race group. Last Tuesday there was some good discussion and need to get together and plan our way forward. Bob, need to take ideas to the divisional level.

Bill, do we need to get race group meeting again? Yes, is Tuesday the best night? Let’s get the message out and see who can come when. Mike, let’s have Jessica send out a message to the KCR.
