Jessica has started tracking when expenses are due. James Young was removed from the credit card.

Holding up on renewing CD’s. Should we put the money in a CD at this time since the interest is low right now or wait and keep monitoring? We will wait for now. Tim made a motion, Ed second and motion past.

Tim, any news on van purchase? Rueben, Dan is checking everyday but right now they are scarce. Box work vehicles are available, this might be able to make one of these work for both and the cost is lower. Maybe need to run this by the Solo committee to see if they would agree. Bill, will anyone be concerned about driving the box truck. Mike, confirm with the solo group.

Ed made a motion to approve the treasurers December and Annual report; Rueben seconded.  Motion passed unanimously.

Mike, we need to get budgets to Jessica for Rally X this year. They are now using the card for advertising on Facebook.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
2020 class results and links to the results of our 6 events on the KS Region website have been posted on our website.

There has been additional communication with MCC since last month.  There has been no progress in determining if the site will be available and when.  Apparently, there are a few classes that are being held face to face, but most classes and administration are still being done remotely.

5 alternate sites have been looked at and contacted.  Providence Medical Center Amphitheater has declined our request to protect their newly resurfaced lot.  Hy-Vee Arena has also declined our request due to some city policy.  No response from 3301 E 147th Street.  Worlds of fun is unavailable until after they close for the season (Labor Day, IIRC).  We will try again for dates later in the season.  We have provided several possible dates to Arrowhead; I have not heard anything on the negotiations.

We are looking to fill approximately half of our chief positions.

Tim, what about Kansas Speedway?

The MiDiv Solo Schedule has been released.

April 24 & 25 – Topeka
June 5 & 6 – Hutchinson, KS
June 26 & 27 – St. Charles, MO
July 17 & 18 – Muskogee, OK
August 14 & 15 – Lincoln, NE

Mike: Paula do you know the 147th location. Paula mentioned it might be Richards-Gebuar Air Force base?

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
End of January 541 Members

Figured pins for membership, 70 pins. 25 years and up 19 pins for hand delivery.

Tim makes a motion to mail pins up to 25 years Lisa seconds the motion and it passed.

For those 25 years and over they will be contacted about receiving in person, else will be mailed.

Tim made a motion to send pins for the 2020 year and Rueben seconded motion passed.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern):
May race is moving along and I have a cleaned up version of the schedule will be sending to the Stewart. Hallett will have the bass ackwards event two weeks after our event. Covid can still change the schedule as we move forward. Ozark is moving along with completing the new track.

Time trails will not be running with the supper tour event but ok for the rest of the weekends.

Midiv convention is still working on how to have a virtual convention, will not make the posted date but hoping for a only a little later.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (Dan Colburn):
We had an event optimistically scheduled for the 24th, which was the earliest KCRX has ever scheduled an event. Had to cancel due to site being too wet/standing water and threat of more rain the day of. We decided to cancel 4 days before. Was the right call as it was very cold and rainy the night before and morning of.

We have moved our Feb event to Grain Valley rather than an alternate site. We have sent an email via MSR to our attendees about the change. Mike forwarded info to website host as well.

Have been using online sanction application and it’s lightyears better than the disastrous paperwork from before. Let me know if Anyone has questions.

No other news or details for KCRX.

I am still actively looking for a good deal on a van, nothing has popped up yet but I’m sure it will. Of course finding tons of deals on passenger (window) vans but nothing cargo style. Continuing to look. Expanded our search a bit but nothing jumping out just yet.

Questions I have:

When are the new loaner helmets coming in?

When are we going to host a van and trailer clean out and re-prep for 2021?

RallyCross and Solo members will need to be present. Should also inventory waivers, wrist bands, paperwork, etc. Van has not been touched since it was at our last event in Dec. I did not see changes in paperwork for 2021.

Jessica checked with Rick and loaner helmets February.

Ed, do we still use the aged out? Tim indicates 2010 helmets good through 2021. Mike verified.

In past Jeremy has had a meeting at Blue Label is there anything like that planned for this year. Jessica has not heard about a tech date for solo.

AL, has indicated to the clean up date needs to be coordinated for the clean up of van and trailer. Reuben, need to find a location and then set up a date.

Rueben, Should the gear that is being sold be in the newsletter as well as the KCR website. Mike yes. Rueben will do a write up for the newsletter.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Mike McGinley web hits down 12.5% from the prior month. All schedules updated with links to the events. All changes will be made by tomorrow.

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Traveling trophies: Mike has picked up 3, Lisa, has not picked up any lately.
  2. Award questions: Is RallyCross handling the “Rally Crosser of the Year” trophy? David Williams RallyXer of the year. Rally X did handle the Rxer of the year and have their trophies ready. Would like to do a photo op to place on the website. Norma Williams and RallyX of the year to be handled together.
  3. Is there a “Mary Kay Ash Award” winner for 2020? I assume it is a Solo award? Janet Bauman won last year. This is a question for Paula. Jessica, in the past this was awarded to the top PAX female based on points.
  4. Can someone get a list to Lisa of recipients form last year and who will get them this year. Mike, will put together a list, those not being handed this year if no recipient last years can keep for another year.
  5. SCCA National Convention: Did anyone sit in on Saturday sessions? The convention continues in evenings and Saturdays for the next 2 weeks.  Mike, this would be a good thing to sit in on.

Bill, pictures added to Glen Shepard award in Checkpoint were awesome, thank you.

Mike, Bill has done a great job with the descriptions of the awards for KCR.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Lisa, does anyone have any calendar events, if you have them I will put them on the Google calendar. Mike, all events are on the events page of the website. Lisa will take them and tie them.
  2. Daytona is on February 14th, guess we will not be able to do the gathering this year.
  3. Tim. Do you think anyone would be interested in GoKarting? Lisa, can reach out to see about an event. Jessica will put out a poll to find interest.

Ed made a motion to adjourn, Jessica seconded. Motion passed.
Meeting adjourned at 8:27 PM.
