At our most recent membership meeting we had a good discussion on workers for our Road Racing program at Heartland Motorsports Park and the Ozarks International Raceway and what we could do to get a few more people involved, mostly for working corners.

Working corners is a great experience with some wonderful people. It’s the closest you can get to the action without actually being in a car and you can see up close some really stellar driving and of course, sometimes some not so stellar driving.

We have incentives for our workers but it was pointed out by Jeremy Salenius that few people knew what those incentives were and there wasn’t any list anywhere with everything we offer. Following is a list of what we offer to work a day or weekend at a road race. As you can see, it’s fairly significant.

From KVRG for Heartland Park and / or Ozarks Majors Weekends

  • $50.00 per day for working any specialty – $50.00 value per day
  • One free Kansas City solo entry for working the weekend – $55.00 value
  • For non-members, we will provide a temporary membership – $15.00 value

From Midwest Division for any Road Race Weekend

  • Vroom Points Program – Each Midwest Division (MiDiv) Volunteer gets 1 credit for each day worked at a MiDiv Division Road Race. Each volunteer working a MiDiv Road Racing event is automatically signed up for credits. – $10.00 per weekend

From National for any Road Race Program

  • 4-5 days worked – $15 Membership Discount
  • 6-7 days worked – $22 Membership Discount
  • 8-11 days worked – $30 Membership Discount
  • 12 or more days worked – $45 Membership Discount plus Commemorative ID Card and recognition in SportsCar Magazine

Total value for working 2 days either weekend – $165.00

  • $100.00 pay
  • $55.00 free solo entry
  • Vroom fund – $10.00

Total value for working 3 days either weekend – $215.00

  • $150.00 pay
  • $55.00 free solo entry
  • Vroom fund – $10.00

Work both Heartland Park and the Ozarks, double your money and get another $15.00 to $22.00 off your membership dues next year.

We also provide lunch each day, Saturday dinner, and party with friends – Priceless!

Work Track Night in America Friday evening after the test day at Heartland, or any TNiA and get 1 free Solo entry or a $45.00 membership credit or work 2 events and get a free TNiA entry.

People working the Heartland test day and the TNiA that evening can double dip and get $50.00 PLUS the TNiA benefits.

I would like to thank Al Hermans and the Solo Advisory Committee for their input and the offer of a free Solo for working a Road Racing weekend at Heartland and the Ozarks.

Come on out and enjoy the experience, make a little money, have some fun with friends, get a free lunch and dinner with a beverage, and still be home in the evening from Heartland. Guaranteed fun.
