Want to learn car control on slick surface? Want to better understand the dynamics of driving on dirt? Want to drive your car in a fun and safe environment while learning more about cars, car control and driving techniques?

Come and join the Kansas City Region Rallycross School where you get to drive your car one dirt surfaces while learning new skills or honing your current skill set. 

The school will start with an instructor let learning session where instructors talk about car dynamics, difference in front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive, tire selections, and basic car control.

Basic car control techniques for driving on slick surfaces including 

  • car balance and weight transfer
  • threshold breaking
  • brake in turn
  • trail breaking
  • throttle control

RallyCross Basics will include

  • Basic RallyCross rules
  • Car Tech
  • Course navigation (finding the best line)
  • Cone recognition (placement of cars, where to keep eyes)

After the training sessions students will drive through basic elements to get a feel for the car and to practice basic techniques followed by full course training session.  

The afternoon will be an open practices session with instructors available or to for drivers explore the joys of driving without an instructor.

There is a dedicated Tech Zone that will be accessible for vehicle tech when you arrive. Please get your vehicle prepped and through tech as quickly as possible to insure that we get to racing as efficiently as possible. Have your wheels swapped and vehicle emptied BEFORE you roll through tech. This will allow us to address any safety concerns or numbering/lettering issues before start of day.
