CALL TO ORDER
The Kansas City Region SCCA General Meeting was called to order by RE Bill Johnson at The Bar on February 1, 2022 at 7:31 pm.

Attendees: Ed Nicholson, Bill Johnson, Jessica Dorn, Chris Kern, Jeremy Utterback, Henry Rompage, Jeremy Scotton, Al Hermanns, Paula Diehl, Jeremy Salinias and (one other, illegible).

SECRETARY’S REPORT: (Ed Nicholson) 
Paula made a motion to approve the minutes; Chris seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

TREASURER’S REPORT: (Jessica Dorn) – Check this and change numbers.

Regional Banquet
Bill filled in for Lisa and Mike, the banquet will be March 5th at Deer Creek and registration is open on Motorsports Reg. Please come and talk it up with your fellow members.

National convention
KCR members being recognized for contribution to the SCCA. Rich Berretta received the Woolf Barnato award. Rich was central in starting our rally program. Charlie Clark was inducted into the SCCA Hall of Fame for his like time achievements.

Bill asked Paula if we are planning a road rally for one this year. She indicated that there was one in the works and we will be revisiting.

Rueben and Mark presented a session on using drones at SCCA events. This session is still available for viewing and can be found on the convention event page, session was January 27th at 4 PM.

KVRG Convention
Midiv convention will be free to all and is a virtual format. Information should be something coming soon for Feb. 19th around 4 PM. Short town hall and exec committee. Everyone welcome. RE’s will be getting the link to get the word out.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
We have dates confirmed with MCC for the following schedule:

  • March 26 & 27 – T&T and Event #1
  • April 30 & May 1 – School and Event #2
  • June 18 & 19 – Events #3 and #4
  • July 16 & 17 – Starting Line School (subject to verification) and Event #5
  • August 21 – Event #6
  • September 17 & 18 – Events #7 and #8
  • October 16 – Event #9
  • October 30 – Event #10 (Halloweenie)

We will be asking for event chairs, especially for the first weekend.

Looking at the possibility of hosting a Street Survival.

Bill: Past Holloweenie, how much is the donation request? Al, Recommend/request is $1200.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)

  • CFR March 19-20: Things are going well for CFR, we have people signing up from our region and other regions. Please register and come all areas of CRF will be covered in detail.
  • HPT – May 21-22: TT and Majors – typical majors weekend.
  • Ozarks – June 4-5: working on event needs all of the help we can get.

Bill asked the attending members what their plans are for this year and what follows is a sample of the replies:

  • Jeremy S going to Road America Virginia International Raceway and one other.
  • Al all regional solos and few TT’s
  • Paula most solos and some horse shows.
  • Jeremy U COTA, Miami GP.

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Midiv convention will be virtual. Should be something coming soon for Fed 19th. Kris Kern, will start around 4 PM. Short town hall and exec committee meeting followed by areas of interest, solo RX road racing.
  2. We are in need of a webmaster to take over from Mike McGinnley 

NEW BUSINESS:

Chris made a motion to adjourn and Paula second motion passed. Meeting ended at 8:11.
