The Kansas City Region SCCA General Meeting was called to order by RE Mike McGinley at Local Tap on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 7:33 p.m.

Secretary Report: 
Minutes from the December meeting were read. Lisa Kern made a motion to approve; Donna Cross seconded. Motion passed unanimously.

Van and trailer cleanout February 8th at James Cahill’s house, 10 AM until finished

Annual meeting March 21st Blue Label Racing 10 AM, this will include annual tech for solo.

There are no proposed regional rule changes from 2019.

Event for May 30 & 31 site is being reviewed.

KVRG Report (Chris Kern):
Working on event sanctions.

Waiting on approval for the sups.

Events proceeding well, workers to be proposed.

Track night is up on the website 3rd Thursday accept Aug 3rd Tuesday, on Heartland Park schedule. First Track night is the 23rd.

Working on MSR to track workers time for incentives. Mike: Incentives can be used for Free rally cross, solo or go toward annual for membership.

Need more people to work and promote with the drivers at track night.

We’ve got our 2020 schedule up. Working on the budget. Registration for first event opens soon.

RX 1 Feb 23rd: I-35 Speedway
RX 2 Mar 14th: Thunder Valley Sand Drags
RX 3 May 3rd: I-35 Speedway
RX 4 June 14th: TBD
RX 5 July 10-12: multi-day event (details to come)
RX 6 August 8: UA Test and Tune
RX 7 Sept 6th: TBD
RX 8 Oct 24th: Thunder Valley Sand Drags
RX 9 Nov 8th: I-35 Speedway

Road Rally: (David Williams):
Getting Rubber meets the road rally set up, to coordinate with Rich B. for fall. First event will be up soon. More to come.

Gimmick Rally coming sometime around March a brew to brew rally. Jeremy Salenius, will be like the wine rally.

Mike: Rich Barretta did win member of the year at the SCCA national Banquet. Also developed new rally app.

Discussion on the app: “Can the app be GPS jammed? Jeremy.” Is was indicated that though there may be a way to do this there was good reason to believe it would be easily noticed.

Web Report (Mike McGinley):

Website to be updated tomorrow. Road Rally and race group up solo soon.

New set of rules for contingency prizes for time trials.

Need to change road rally chair to David Williams from Rich Bireta.

Greg FAQ’s for rally cross incorrect. Mike, send corrections to me and we will get them posted.

Jessica, Send anything for website to Mike.

Social Committee (Lisa Kern):
Bring in more membership and cross groups.

Registration extended for the banquet please sign up early and often.

Silent auction for go baby go. Cash bar and money tree.

Great entertainment, no expense spared so come and enjoy. Mike

Will be an after party at Martin City Brewer which is next door to The Martin.

Daytona watch party at Saints in Lenexa 87th and Renner February 16th. Come early or anytime during the race.

Old Business: No old business this month.

New Business:  
Mike recognize Midiv convention committee. Donna Cross, Chris Kern, Neava Ford, James Cahill and Paula Diehl

Donna reported that there were donations of $1300 cash and $1175 from silent auction at the Midiv convention?

There was a quick meeting with other RE’s from other regions at the Midiv convention. Kudos for rally X and solo for our region from the other RE’s.

There was an election for the Midiv exec committee chair and Chris Kern has been elected to this office. Congratulations Chris.

Neava Ford made motion to adjourn, Tara Young seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
