Mike, Discussion on totals, what causes the loss looks like a gain. Jessica was able to explain that it was due to showing the 2019 awards banquet in the 2019 budget vs showing it in 2020 when it occurred.

Bill were the bank balances on Jan 1 and now Dec 29? Jessica Jan $113,062.13 Dec $107,666.51.

2020 Annual Treasurer’s Report UPDATED – which is the same as the November Treasurer’s Report as that is the most current information the treasurer has at the time of the Annual Meeting. This got presented at the December 1 Annual Meeting. However, while auditing the books, I found 3 errors on the 2020 Annual Report given on December 1, 2020:

  1. Omitted the $1,450.00 expense for check #5855 – it has now been added
  2. Added a line to the Summary to account for the $8.00 loss for Checking 094 being deemed dormant
  3. Noticed an accounting error for Total Income in the Summary (missing $255.36) – it has now been fixed

Motion to approve the budget, Bill and second Al the motion passed unanimously.

SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
2020 class results and links to the results of our 6 events on the KS Region website were provided to the webmaster on 12/17/20.  I have not seen anything posted on our website yet with that information.

Initial contact has been made with MCC.  I am waiting on a response.  A groundbreaking was held on a new building on the PDC grounds.  The rendering seen here: https://mcckc.edu/news/2020/11-MCC-BR-Groundbreaking-Event.aspx appears to show the building location to the north of the area we use.  It will occupy the north part of the skidpad west of the north pond and the grass to the west of it.  It appears the entry to the site will remain in its current location.  It remains to be seen what effect, if any, there will be on our access to the site.

No further information on any alternate sites yet.

SAC will have a meeting in early January to choose a solo chair and begin discussion of 2021 scheduling and other issues.

The solo@kcrscca.com e-mail list will need to delete Christian Els and add Paula Diehl.

Jeremy, Arrowhead contact is still there and there will be discussions late January.

Only 3 regional weekends available at Heartland Park for 2021. Sandstone is open to us for next year as well.

Mike McGinley asked Tara about her previous conversations with military sites as locations for our Solo events? Tara stated that talks were canceled for 2020 because of Covid but she will follow up and contact in January 2021 for possible 2021 events.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
536 members, down from the beginning of the month. Membership Anniversaries will be done first of January and pins ordered. Mike, should we ship pins out to members? Will need to see how many and the board needs to decide.

Tim made a motion to send pins for the 2020 year and Rueben seconded motion passed.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern):
We are on schedule with SCCA and we will get working on the May event, Heartland Park.

TNiA schedule will be out soon.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (Dan Colburn):
Had even to finish the season, will be meeting about 2021 coming this week late. Venues have been reaching out to us. Mike and Bill commented on the great job done for the Rally X annual report. Mark has been the one who has setup the report form and Dan indicated he tweaked it for this year.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Mike McGinley Will be getting updates to website, have had 4100 hits. Please send updates. Tim, need to update the list of officers as there is some bad data and new officer bios need to be added.

MiDiv Convention update (Donna Cross):
Convention has been cancelled for 2021, don’t know what is happening for virtual and not sure about 2022 at this point.

Chris, region is looking to host the MiDiv Convention in 2022. Will be sending out information to the RE’s.

Mike noted that the National SCCA Convention is free for all to attend, kicks off 1/23. Schedule coming January 8th. This would be good to attend for everyone.

OLD BUSINESS:

Needing to catch up with Charlie about race group awards.

Outstanding event, Tim suggested Heartland Majors race in July – Chris. RX season has been the best for the year. Rueben UA at Riverside.

Outstanding event, Tim suggested Heartland Majors race in July – Chris. RX season has been the best for the year. Rueben UA at Riverside.

NEW BUSINESS:

  1. Discussion of new vehicle for RallyCross/Solo to replace current van. Currently have $5700 accrued for the purchase. Dan, use first CD to replace the van for Solo, second CD would be used to get a vehicle for RX. Maybe wrap the van but need to wrap the trailer. Logistics makes having two vehicles necessary. Mike, we have $75,000 that we should not touch. Even with RX growing we need to spend money but don’t see that we can afford two vehicles at this time. Bill, money can disappear rapidly. There is a potential donor for helping setup an RX vehicle once they have one. Bill proposes to replace the current van for $15,000 RX and Solo to agree, Greg seconds the motion, Motion carried. Dan and Al will work on finding replacement vehicle.
  2. Discussion of new racetrack: Ozarks International Raceway at The Lake of the Ozarks. This track IS in our Region’s footprint, so it would be our opportunity to have races there and have the risk/rewards of doing so. It will be finished in late summer(?) 2021 and might be able to have events in 2021, certainly in 2022.  This could be a Majors race in 2022 and possibly a Super Tour in 2023 if we are successful enough in 2021. Mike McGinley will discuss the KVRG profitability for 2017-2020. Bill Johnson can comment on profitability at Heartland Park back in the Runoffs years at Heartland Park in 2006-2008. Mike is the contact to the racetrack for KCRSCCA. Chris, we have workers interested in going to this track.
  3. SCCA National Convention: Starts 1/23. It is FREE. You can sign up now at scca.com. Final schedule will be released 1/8. You are encouraged to attend as much as you can.

Call for motion to adjourn Donna motioned and Tim second, motion carried, 9:47.
