Solo Report– Al Hermans

Street Survival and event #7 were held on August 16 & 17. There were 14 students registered

for Street Survival and 13 showed up. One student left during the lunch hour. We were on or

two coaches short of being able to provide one on one instruction.

There were 135 drivers for event 7. Both days were ridiculously hot.

There was a non-scheduled SAC meeting on August 21 at The Bar in Prairie Village to address

some operational problems that took place during event #7. We are going to be more selective

on choosing event chairs and there will be greater oversight of course design. Starting in 2026, a certified course designer will be required in order to get a sanction.

The next regional events are September 13 for a special, non-points, bracket style, limited entry

blowout and September 14 for event #8.

The next Divisional solo event is on the weekend of September 20 & 21 in Independence, KS.

The pro solo finale starts this weekend in Lincoln and solo nationals starts Tuesday of next week.
