With a new season, comes a new request for event chairs, event co-chairs, and safety stewards.

Event Chairs and Co-Chairs

We can train event chairs if needed and have some documents that will help keep you organized. You can also co-chair with an experienced chair to help you learn the position and responsibilities. Event chairs receive the event they chair and a future event at no charge. Co-chairs receive the event they co-chair at no charge. Immediate event needs are below:

  • Novice School—April 30
  • Event #2—May 1
  • Event #5—July 17
  • Event #6—August 21

Event Safety Stewards

The process to becoming a safety steward is a multi-step process. First, you need to attend a training session. These are offered online through the national office or I can host an in person training if there is enough interest. Second, prospective safety stewards will need to shadow a licensed SSS on two occasions—you can shadow during an event heat or during set up. Third, you may apply to the SCCA for the SSS license.

Please reach out and volunteer to ensure we are able to run all of our events. If you are interested or have any questions, contact:
