RALLYCROSS REPORT (David Williams)

Committee Items

  • 11/5 – Event #1 and Event #8 were successfully held on Nov 2nd and 3rd. There were 23 drivers that attended Event #1 and 34 drivers that attended Event #8. It did rain a little the night before Event #1 and it was a little sloppy in the morning but as the track dried the times improved. Everyone managed to get 11 runs in during the event and we all had a good time even with the sloppiness in the morning. Event #8 started off dry and dusty and everyone was absolutely flying around the track. The afternoon had a bit of a scare when rain popped up to our west and after about an hour it dissipated. We only managed to get 8 runs due to some timing issues in the morning and the threat of rain in the afternoon.
  • 11/26 – Event #9 was held on Nov 24th and there were 38 drivers in attendance to our joint event with the Kansas Region at Santa Fe Trail Cycle Park, which capped off the end of the 2019 season.

ROAD RALLY REPORT (David Williams)

  • 11/26 – I am not seeking a RallyCross committee position for 2020 – 2021 seasons, which has freed me up to pursue my desire to run the KC Region RoadRally program going forward. Rich Bireta has mentioned he will be in attendance at the General Meeting next week so I will be discussing further with him my ideas for 2020 and if he is unable to assist I will be submitting a proposal for any needed equipment, which should be relatively minor (signage, number clings, etc.)
