Solo Report– Al Hermans

A special non-points solo bracket event was held on September 13 at MCC. The event was stopped about halfway through due to the discovery that the event was not sanctioned and, therefore, not insured. A refund was made to all participants and credit for half of an event fee was given to those who worked a heat but did not get to run. After adding up the site rental fee, event fee for those who did not come to event #8 the following day, and the half event credit to half of the entrants, the loss to the club comes to $2920.00 if everyone applies their discount.

Event #8 was held on September 14. 130 people had times.

The next regional events are October 5 and the Halloweenie on October 26. 120 people are signed up for October 5, and 48 are signed up for Halloweenie so far.

Old Business

Mark Mcoubrie has offered to trade the ATV he purchased for the RX program, along with the new battery, front tires, and oil change for the old generator. He has $1100 invested in the ATV so far. The asking price for the generator is $1000. Josh Huff moved to accept, Dan seconded. This was approved by the board.

A mass email went out last night regarding the general meeting location for next week. Our contact is no longer employed at The Bar Prairie Village, so we will have to coordinate with another manager for future use of the Back Room. Al spoke to the manager and has it reserved through December.

New Business

Still need to form a nominating committee for the December elections. 5 members- 2 selected by RE, 2 selected by BOD, chair selected by committee. Do we want Tim to handle the voting again?

Call to adjourn-  Motion to adjourn Josh Huff, 2nd Max. Meeting ended at 7:50 PM
