SOLO REPORT: (Al Hermans)
We have held four solo events, #’s 5, 6, 7, and 8, since the last general meeting. We had 82 entries on August 21, 75 entries on August 22, 65 entries on September 18, and 79 entries on September 19. We also hosted a Sunbeam event on September 16 that drew about 35 Alpines and Tigers and a couple other models. As far as I know, everyone had a good time and the club made a bit of money. I want to recognize Paula Diehl for handling the timing and scoring for the event.

Our next events are October 23 & 24. Registration is open now and will close October 21. Remember, our last event on the 24th is the Halloweenie, our annual charity event.

The following KC Region of Record members attended Solo Nationals: Brian Meyer, Gus Jacob, Eric Moe, Daniel Rowland, Neil Rowland, Bill Bauman, Janet Bauman, Tom Zickuhr, Joshua Huff, Vladimir Grebenyuk, Craig Wilcox, Albert Hermans, Travis Bolton, Dick Berger, Charlie Clark, Chris Delay, Tony Giordano, Robert Qualkinbush, Vernon Maxey, Dan Wheeler, Brad Smith, Nick Angell, Paul Daly, Keith Lamming. We had one National Champion – Craig Wilcox – in SMF.

MEMBERSHIP REPORT: (Paula Diehl)
Reported a current membership of 565. 9 new members.

Legacy program will begin with recognizing new members who are family of past members.

KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)
Working hard on getting paperwork in for next year.

Need workers for Heartland Park for track night 10 – 14. Last one of the year.

Lake Garnett coming on 9th and 10th of October, workers needed.

RALLYCROSS REPORT: (Nile Davis)
Added the RX report from Niles 10/7/2021.

With there being no event this month there is not a ton to report. We have cancelled our event for October due to conflicts with the schedule, both with Rallycross Nationals and elsewhere. We have our points event on November 7th, and added a novice school and test and tune on November the 6th in conjunction with Unnaturally Asperated’s event on the same day.

Our last points event will be on December 5th. All of these events will be at TVSD.

We have 4 board members stepping down: Dan Colburn, Andrew Fails, Ryan Redenbaugh, and Andy Sheehan. Since we had 6 members on the board last year we just need 3 new members to get the board back to the proper amount. The two members of the board staying on are Niles Davis and Clarissa Votipka. Current nominees are: Erik Votipka, Max Bear and Tiernan Einberger.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
Mike McGinley all results have been updated. Total visitors 6742, up 4.3%. 2400 page impressions, solo and rally cross results and information.

OLD BUSINESS

Dan is still working on selling the old van. No additional conversations on a vehicle wrap for the new van.

Feb 5, 2022 Awards Banquet Lisa & Paula – Still in negotiations with Deer Creek and Fiorella’s. I’m concerned how many people will attend with Covid issues. I am “double-checking” their cancellation policies. Justin Walker has agreed to Emcee for us. Deercreek – Everyone should be familiar with. We may not need the 2nd room like last time we were there. Buffet has gone up in $. Catering has changed hands, I’m sure that’s part of price increase.

Fiorella’s – I “think” that the location for this is the same as a few years ago when we were at Ritz Charles (135th & Antioch). They are quite high, but it’s something different. I’m working on them.

Election Committee report: (Greg Cheney) We have 3 BOD positions, RE, Assist. RE, Secretary, and Solo and Rallycross advisory positions to fill. We have candidates for Solo and RX advisory committees plus several current officers will be running for re-election.

Future Events: (Lisa Kern)

  • Picnic at Halloweenie? I thought we had already made the decision (maybe we didn’t) to combine these 2 events.  ATTN PAULA – please email me about this so I can start to get stuff together. Will put a poll in the next checkpoint and could add MSR.
  • I will be at Extreme Grand Prix Racing Wednesday night to talk with them about our Jan general meeting.  Mike did get an email from them with good rates.
  • Between these 2 events are holidays, so I’m not apt to schedule anything.

Call for motion to adjourn Ed made a motion to adjourn and Greg second motion passed. Meeting ended at 8:31
