SOLO REPORT (Al Hermans, Solo Chair):
I received facility use agreements for MCC yesterday.  I have signed them on behalf of the Region and submitted them back to MCC.  There are two FUA’s, one for events prior to June 30 and one for events after July 1.  That is their fiscal year break.  Rental rates will be the same as last year.  All requested dates have been confirmed.

There is a schedule conflict that has manifested since we developed the solo schedule.  I have learned that the Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival will be held the weekend of October 11, 12, 13.  We have a solo scheduled for October 13.  I also understand that the same weekend is the conclusion of the Runoffs at VIR.  I don’t know what effect (if any) this will have on LGGPR but it is something to consider.

Now that the venue is confirmed, the website calendar should be updated with event information (Rallycross too).  I will e-mail Doug and Ken with the schedule.

Our wireless microphones have been mis-placed.  We need to look at getting replacement(s).

We are working on a budget for 2019.  I hope to have something to present after the February 5 SAC meeting.

We have some minor rule changes being considered.  The one affecting the most people would be to make qualifying for a year end class trophy a little easier.

The annual solo meeting is scheduled for March 9 at Blue Label Racing in KCMO.  We will have a brief discussion of the schedule, introduction of chief personnel, and an open forum to discuss solo issues locally.  The rest of the day will be devoted to annual tech and bench racing.

KVRG REPORT (Chris Kern, KVRG Board Member):
Working on May event. We are also working on cy2020 negotiating for HMP events/dates.  KVRG is talking about having Bracket Sprint races.

RALLYCROSS REPORT (David Williams, Rallycross Chair):
Early in December the new Rallycross committee met for the first time.  David was approved as 2019 chair. We have emailed new supplemental rules for 2019.  The schedule is set and venues finalized.  We have 2 sponsors for 2019 season.  We agreed to do a charity event with Ruben Samuels.  Test and tune demo is on April 27 and the donation proceeds go to his charity.   The first event is March 31 at I-35 speedway.  Look over supplementals and let David know if there’s anything that needs to be addressed.

ROADRALLY REPORT (David Williams reported):
Nothing new to report.

WEBSITE (Ken Snyder reported):
Tara will make changes to bring the website up to date.  Contacts, pics, etc. Paula will send to Tara with her changes.  All will look at and give Tara feedback for website of changes. David will also help.

SPECIAL COMMITTEES:

  • KCR Awards Banquet – 119 registered so far.  Todd will follow up with Doug to see if he can assist with AV.  Lisa will find out what types of beers Deercreek is offering in their cash bar so Tim can offset the keg flavor.  Lisa will double-check the AV equipment Deercreek is offering. Chris has an extra projector and will bring it just in case we need it.
  • Mid-div – Chris is asking for volunteers as “runners” for the Silent Auction.

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Charter Renewal – Jessica has updated and hasn’t heard anything from the National office as of yet.

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Thank you to Jessica for working on the Budget for the year.  Proposed budgets from each program need to be sent to Jessica.  Al and David will get together at the SAC meeting next week to talk budgets.
  • Lucky Brew Grill is our location for the General Meeting next week.  Tara to send out an email blast.
  • Tags for Van – moved from MO to KS.  In order to get personal property paid for in Kansas we need the van title.  Anyone know who has the title?  James Cahill or Bob Buxbaum might.   Todd will talk with Bob.  Tara to look into storing the van in a different location and is suggesting we table the discussion.
  • CDs – Jessica sent an email.  The long-term plan, gap from June 24-Dec 18 where we don’t have any money coming due.  She would like to propose a 9-month CD to fill the gap for 2.45%.
    • Less number of CDs – Bill Johnson made a motion and Tim Friest seconded; motion approved unanimously.

There being no further business, Tara Young made a motion to adjourn; Todd Hesskamp seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 8:31 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Lisa Kern
SCCA Board Secretary
