BOD – ASSISTANT REGIONAL EXECUTIVE
The Kansas City Region of the SCCA is one of the most stable regions in the nation. We have grown to a membership of over 620 members over the past year. Our Board must be able to adapt to be more flexible and more open to new ways of doing things as we grow larger and more diverse. I have served this region in a number of different roles: two years as the Checkpoint editor, two years as your Secretary, three years as your Treasurer, and one year as your Secretary pro-temp. I was also honored to serve for two years as your Regional Executive and two years as your Past RE. I am humbly asking for your vote to continue as your Assistant Regional Executive of the KC Region. I believe we have the membership talent and the tools to move this great region forward to a bright and prosperous future. Thank you for your consideration.
BOD – DIRECTORS
Hi, my name is Josh Holsworth. I have been a SCCA member since 2010 and have participated in all the SCCA programs. I have done autocross off and on since 2010 and graduated to road racing in Spec Miata.
I have been to Solo Nationals, the Runoffs, several rallycross, and a couple Track Night in America events, so I have seen how various regions are ran.
After experiencing other regions, I want to grow these programs with more active support from the KC region as some of them have stagnated. I truly believe that more people equals more fun! I have been in many classes, where I have been the only entrant and the only reason I kept showing up is, my love of the sport.
We have great and friendly members, and with proper direction that I can bring, I know we could be one of the best regions in the SCCA.
I started solo in 2019 attending events at MCC, HPT, Salina, and Wichita. In 2020, I participated at events at HPT, Salina, and Lincoln and completed the Safety Training. I have been a Safety at HPT, MCC, Salina, and Lincoln as well as Course Chief at the Pro Solo in 2020.
Attended the Banquet for Kansas City and Kansas region.
I attended the spec racing school at Hallett, been to the runoffs numerous times as a spectator.
