Save your aluminum pop tops from beverage cans and from cans of soup, vegetables, cat food, and other cans! For every pop top donated, Ronald McDonald House Charities will provide ten minutes of chemotherapy to a child. Ronald McDonald House is a place where families can stay close to their sick children while they get the care and supportive services they need.
Paula Diehl, the KCR SCCA Assistant RE, reports that 54,000 pop tops have already been donated, pushing KCR past a goal of 50,000 by the end of the year! We thank the Lone Star Region SCCA for mailing in more than 2,500 tab! All told, our current collection will provide over 900 hours of chemotherapy for sick children through Ronald McDonald House.
Be sure to start saving for next year. Hopefully we can save even more. Bring your tops to any KCR General Membership Meeting, held the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Check the KCR SCCA website homepage for meeting locations.
