This event also has a HPDE (High Performance Driving Experience) which is a chance to drive your car on a racetrack in a safe and controlled environment away from the risks present on the street. We will also having coaching sessions available for these sessions, which is great way to get friends, spouses, significant others, or even your kids to come out and learn how to drive safely on the track. This is also the first time SCCA has been at this track in 5-6 years, so come out and experience a great midwest track. 

EVENT INFORMATION
This is our first time at Motorsport Park Hastings,  please review the Schedule and Supps about the track along with the TT ruleset, including driver eligibility and required equipment/clothing. If you own a transponder, make sure it’s charged and ready. If you rented one, it will be handed to you during your tech inspection.

Friday Schedule

  • 6:00pm – Gates Open
  • 6:00-9:00pm – Registration
  • 7:00-9:00pm – Tech
  • 10:00pm – Gates locked

Saturday Schedule

  • 7:15am-Noon – Registration
  • 7:00-8:30am – Tech (Tech will be open after 9:00am but most of the individuals leading the event are also racers, so please be considerate of their time as you may be delayed in tech as they may be out racing. If you plan to arrive any time Saturday, appointments can be made by emailing apessetto@gmail.com
  • 8:35am – Mandatory driver’s meeting. We’ll go over the basic TT rules and etiquette, what’s expected of drivers, and what’s expected of event staff. It’s important you attend this meeting, since some aspects and scheduling of the event may change overnight. If you don’t attend this meeting, you will not be allowed on track without talking with the event lead first.
  • Lunch: MiDiv TT Chairman James Cahill will bring a propane grill and griddle. Feel free to bring something for the grille and whatever refreshments you want. Hotdogs and burgers will be available.

Look for a white truck with a white Racing trailer and the Dare to Dream Green Honda Fit. This is where we will be holding the driver’s meeting on Saturday morning, and all other meetings. Paddock somewhere near us to keep in touch with the TT event chairman during the event, as sometimes things change on the fly due to weather or wrecks.

To avoid issues with car classing and safety, drivers must have the following items ready for tech inspection:

  • Dyno sheet or Proof of SAE Horsepower
  • Print out of classing calculator completed for your car
  • Completed Tech sheet including scale weight
  • Safety gear including Helmet, gloves and head/neck restraint if you are using.

We will be also enforcing convertible and open cockpit vehicles per our rule set in regards to Rule 7.2 Convertibles requiring roll bar and Rule 7.4 open cockpit / convertible vehicles requiring arm restraints. 

Scales will be available during tech. Print and bring these 3 printouts plus the safety gear to Tech. 

Camping
This is what everyone has been asking for, a 1 day event on Saturday! Camping is allowed Friday and Saturday night, so if you want to show up the night before and/or leave Sunday morning, no problem. 

RV Spots at Motorsport Park Hastings include 20-, 30- and 50-Amp electrical service (no water or sewer. There is potable water available at the track if you need to fill your tank prior to parking.) To reserve a spot, email motorsportparkhastings@gmail.com – be sure to include the overall size of your rig so that they can get you in an appropriate spot. If you have a preferred location, please include that in your email. Cost is $50 and is payable at the track with cash, check, or credit card.

Restrooms & Shower facility: Available 24/7

Bagged Ice: 10 lb bags of ice are available inside the door behind the restroom / shower building. Cost: $5 / 10 lbs.

Raceports (covered pit area): MPH has 16 covered Raceport spots available. Each spot is approximately 12-ft wide by 24-ft long and includes 110V electric. The building is also lit for night-time work. Cost is $75 for the event.

Sanctions:
This event is governed by the MiDiv SCCA Time Trials Championship Series rules, the Time Trials event Supplemental Regulations, and the 2022 SCCA Track Event rules except as where noted.

Transponders
Transponders are required at all Midwest Division tracks. All cars must have a working AMB/MyLaps compatible transponder. Please make sure your transponder number is listed on your vehicle profile in MotorsportReg.com.

The event will have a limited number of transponders available to rent $60. First come, first served. See online registration to reserve; or contact Registrar if needed. The rental fee is NON REFUNDABLE if you cancel your registration within 10 days of the event. Please contact the registrar for more information.

Driver Eligibility
