KVRG REPORT: (Chris Kern)
Event July 17 through 19th was very well attended. No update on financials but was a great event for the division.

Track night coming in August 12th, need workers.

Lake Garnett coming same as first weekend of the runoffs, need workers for this event as well.

Jim Roland took pictures during the event weekend and they are posted on the KCR Facebook page. There was also a video. Jessica is asking for articles as well.

RALLY CROSS REPORT: (Dan Colburn/Reuben)
Did not have a July event but did at the end of June, New event for August 8th Thunder Valley.

  • Info on the RX National Championship moved to Heartland Park Topeka. Kansas Region and our region working to make this happen. Hoping that no shutdown for Covid between now and then. Late cancellation has been relaxed for this event. 88 total entries currently, 15 from our region entered.
  • Potential tow vehicle partnership.
  • Paypal account setup and use. Need to get credit card swipers from PayPal.

WEB REPORT: (Mike McGinley)
In the last month 11165 visitors which is down from previous months.

Should we continue the club forum?  Seems to be more effort than it is worth given other media options.

COMMITTEES

OLD BUSINESS:
With current Covid-19 status shall we continue to cancel General Meetings? Will continue suspending meetings for now.

NEW BUSINESS:

  • We need to start the selection process for our Board elections. The RE appoints 2 committee members, the Board appoints 2 people and those 4 select a 5th to be the Chair. Any volunteers? Does anyone know of members that have an interest in serving on the board? What about other positions, i.e. RE and Assist. RE?
    • Ed and Greg nominated by Mike. Lisa and Tim selected by the committee. Chris will be selected by the other members, so total committee is Ed, Greg, Lisa, Tim, and Chris.
    • Note: Al, Bill, Jeremy on the BOD and  Mike, RE,  and Tara, Assist. RE terms up at the end of the year.
  • Talent search – Who can we recruit to take over the website and social media> Our Facebook page is fairly active, do you know someone with the time and the interest? Reuben, we have gained 100 followers on Instagram, could do Facebook. We do need someone for the website. Post on Facebook for a manager and pavement photographers for the website content.
  • Fee wavers have been renegotiated and now is cheaper by 50%. Need to check with James Cahill and the Kansas Region.

Call for motion to adjourn Tim and second Bill, motion carried, 8:23.

Respectfully submitted,
Edward Nicholson
SCCA Board Secretary
