As the song says… “the sun will come out tomorrow” . So it is written! So it must be! We can only hope for sunshine and warm weather. But never mind, the KC Region’s programs are up and running regardless of the weather.

A great turnout at the SOLO annual meeting and tech last weekend. It was 61 degrees for 45 minutes! A super event, thank you to Blue Label Racing and Restoration Service for hosting. While waiting for the sky to clear, it is a great time to visit our website. There you will find all the updated 2019 calendars.

The Road Racing starts locally at Hallett on March 30 and 31, moving to Gateway on April 13 and 14th and to Topeka at Heartland Motorsports Park on May 18 and 19.

SOLO starts April 6 with a Test and Tune with event #1 on the 7th at MCC Precision Driving Course in Independence, MO. May 4 and 5 is the MIDiv Solo event in Topeka, Kansas at Heartland Park, with Street Survival School on June 1st back in Independence. Registration is open for these events.

Rally Cross begins March 31st at I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO. April 27th at Stonegate MotorPlaza in Bucyrus, Kansas is the Unnaturally Aspirated show and Shred, with event #2 the following day at the same location. Rally Cross welcomes back Wavespec Performance Rotors as the 2019 title sponsor and is excited to introduce MaxSport Americas as their new 2019 Presenting Sponsor. Also exciting news is the addition of the 2019 Dirtfish Rally Cross National Tour, the Mid-America Challenge at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on July 19, 20, and 21. What a great start for these programs!

So get those last minute items on your car and get set for a great year of racing. Not sure how to get started? We do have a membership meeting the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Lucky Brewgrille, 5401 Johnson Dr, Mission, Kansas. Come join us for updates on all the programs as well as lively conversation and door prizes. The next one will be on April 2. Hope to see you there.

Until next time: Safe Travels and Happy Trails.
