The 2016 Kansas City Region SCCA Solo Championship Schedule is set! Thirteen Solo events, a Test & Tune, two Solo Schools, and a SCCA Starting Line school at three different venues fill out the 2016 calendar. The season begins on the weekend of April 9th and 10th at the Metropolitan Community College Precision Driving Center in Independence, MO. We warm up with a Test & Tune on Saturday before Event #1 on Sunday. The Test & Tune course will be a short course with a slalom, a medium speed sustained corner, and tight corner with a hard braking zone. Participants are welcome to run as many times as they like during their assigned heats to tune their suspensions, tire pressures, and of course the nut behind the wheel, in preparation for the upcoming season of competition.

After much uncertainty surrounding the future of Heartland Park Topeka, an agreement was reached with the new owners and we will join our neighbors to the west, the Kansas Region SCCA, to host two double-header weekends on the 20+ acre South Lot. Course designs are typically derived from previous National Championship courses giving the Events a grander feel. Camping on-site is available; camping in the infield may be a possibility. Stay tuned for more details as we work them out.

We will also be returning to the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, KS on August 14th. This is another wide-open site that allows for flexibility of course design, and one that you should not miss.

Admission to any of the venues is free after signing the site waiver. Entry fees for competitors is $38 payable either on-site the day of the event, or online through MotorsportsReg.com. Updates to the schedule, if necessary, course maps as they’re available, and event results and championship standings are at https://www.kcrscca.org/our-racing/solo-racing/solo-racing-schedule-and-results/.
