Improved Touring 

Low-cost, series-produced cars over 5 years old with limited modifications. Other than minor engine preparation and removal of interior carpeting and trim, about the only area that can be significantly modified is the suspension. Because of the relatively low cost and close competition, IT classes are among the most well subscribed in SCCA Club Racing. Popular IT cars are the Mazda RX-7, Nissan 240SX, Datsun 240/260/280Z, VW Rabbit and Golf, BMW 2002 and Honda CRX Si.
